ABC-WaPo Poll Finds 'Optimism High' Toward Obama's Liberal Ideas on Health, Energy, Global Warming

ABC News and The Washington Post are using their poll to suggest massive majorities for liberalism in the new year. "Optimism High About Obama Policies, Poll Finds" is the front-page headline in Sunday’s Post. Three pie graphs showed 84 percent favor efforts to "Require electricity companies to increase the use of renewable sources of energy," 77 percent support plans to "Make major changes in the U.S. health care system," and 75 percent want Washington to "Implement policies to try to reduce global warming."

Pollsters Jon Cohen and Jennifer Agiesta reported: "Majorities think Obama should help make major changes to the health-care system, enact new energy policies and institute a moratorium on home foreclosures. Majorities expect him to end U.S. involvement in Iraq, improve health care and turn around America's image abroad."

Post pollsters with their short survey questions aren't trying to explain any potential costs to the public in further nationalizing of health care, or drastic cap-and-trade energy restrictions. Why emphasize the downside when it seems like you're asking the public if they're for "hope and change," price no object?

It certainly suggests that conservatives and Republicans will have their hands full explaining their objections and predictions about the cost of these "Popular Concerns," as the Post calls them.

The Bipolar Obamanistas are on a high right now, creating the false sense of optimism. When reality sets they will crash to a near suicidal low as all Bipolar persons must.

Why do we need to explain our objectives when 75% want the liberal crap?

Yeah, right. 75% of America is walking around saying "Obama's got to fix the climate".

Yeah, right.

The media has decided to play the role of Collectivism’s Propagandists and Apologists. They got this guy elected, and they’re gonna do what they have to to finish off any resistance to the advancement of the tyranny Obama et. al wants to facilitate. Expect more of this drivel for the next 4 years. They’ll report nothing but tepid but widespread support for anything he wants to do. It’s an attempt to break down the will of anything either we, Congressional Replublicans, or both, can muster. It’s textbook Marxist Propaganda.

"Implement policies to try to reduce global warming."

Anyone who responded affirmatively to that item should be removed from the voters' rolls immediately.

there’s no ‘real’ result such as an election to test the accuracy of this poll.

This “poll” helps understand why phishing scams are so successful in this country. The people living here are dumb and very gullible morons. They now see the “American Dream” as becoming rich while sitting on their asses doing nothing.

A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, “Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know
where I am.”

The sailor consulted his portable GPS and replied, “You’re in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.

She rolled her eyes and yelled down, “You must be a Republican.”

“I am,” replied the man. “How did you know?”

“Well,” answered the balloonist, “everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I’m still lost. Frankly, you’ve been no help to me and now I am even later for my appointment.”

The man smiled and responded, “you must be a Democrat.”

“I am,” replied the balloonist. “How did you know?”

“Well,” said the man, “you don’t know where you are or where you’re going. You’ve risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You’re in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but, somehow, now it’s my fault and in fact now you are insisting I have made it worse.”
