This coming week is. The Olney Patriots look forward to seeing a lot of our friends. We’ll be set up by 10AM and waiting for you all. We’ll retire afterwards for R&R at Dave’s Bistro.
All the Olney FReepers, regulars and occasional FReepers, we wish everyone a safe and prosperous NEW YEAR!!
This past week Cindy_True_Supporter was back. Her mom is doing better, allowing Cindy to make it back to Olney. But with [Mrs] T still recovering from her shoulder operation (she’ll be out this coming Saturday) and Lurker Bill having the flu, our stander bearers were in short supply.
But our Legionnaires and the Trooprallys’ twin Grand Sons filled in. Those in Olney this week are Legionnaires Glenn (USMC - WWII), and Halsey (USMC - Korea), Cindy_True_Supporter, grandsons, Micah and Ben, and myself.

BELOW: Our side during a slow traffic period. Traffic was light so honks and waves were fewer in numbers, but percentage wise we still received a lot.

As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome.

Just a note to thank you for all you do for all of us and a little prayer. You see, before I met you, Cindy-True-Supporter and the others, before I was blessed with standing up for our troops with you at Walter Reed and in Olney I never considered activism.... now thanks to your inspiration, I am teaching others to pray about what they can do to stand up for our troops and God’s values in our society and do it!!! I apologize for not being as active on FREE REPUBLIC of late. It is not because I care less but because I am taking what you have taught to the arena of www.facebook.com and encouraging others around the world to stand up and fight for what matters in their cultures! You are both awesome and amazing and you are dear to me!!!
HAPPY OLNEY FREEP ANNIVERSARY!!! (Someday I hope to stand with you again!)
Lord God, thank you for each and every FReeper. Thank you for Free Republic and the forum it provides for us to meet and support one another. Lord God, thank you for each and every person who faithfully gathers at Walter Reed and in Olney. Please bless each and every FReeper in a special way who stands for our troops at these FREEPs and others. Lord God, continue to protect them and provide for them. And Lord God, bless each of our troops and their beloved families - both those deployed, those at home, those who are wounded and especially the Gold Star families. We trust in You and know that in this fight for freedom, You will emerge victorious because our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual evil which comes against freedom. This evil is more powerful than we are as individuals, but YOU are Almighty and more powerful than all!!! God, help us all to do what needs to be done to be effective ambassadors for You, Your way in this world today. Help us to rejoice in the days and the good work You give us to do.
