So, what are your plans for the coming debacle?
Vanity | January 18, 2009 | WCF

This thread (if it survives the moderators) is meant to be an end of the Republic commemorative. Bracketed by end of the Julian calendar and the Chinese New year, I thought a repository of comments marking the rise of a new leftist messiah to be sardonic and fitting.

Before any FReepers hit the ABUSE button, please look around youself . . . with kooky vanities about just-the-right-puppy-breeds and the non-stop religious scripts and debates abounding on NEWS/ACTIVISM, I thought a simple question about what conservatives were personally considering doing during the promise of a new age of fascism might be worthwhile.
So, given that we're all of a conservative mindset and that (as adults) we all recognize what the next four years (or decade and beyond) might herald, I ask: What are your plans? Where do you plan to go and what do you plan to do in years of the coming darkness?

Ordered a catalog from Baker Creek around the first of January.

I’d order online, but I prefer to send a money order. Call me old fashioned...

I say stay in the US but pick your state wisely. We know the blue states will collapse first. Wyoming, Montana, Missouri, Texas, Georgia perhaps are good places. If the US would splinter I think those states would have plenty of refuge and be relatively habitable.

I actually have a copy of that somewhere.

It’s been a while, but I’m no novice to aggressive recycling.

COOL!!!!!!!!

I actually went to the County to find out what kind of permits/licenses I needed and was told I needed none as long as I produced anything I sold. And I was very specific in my questions. The county can’t and won’t bother me as long as my produce comes from my garden, my jellies come from my kitchen, and my crafts come from my hands (or sewing machine.) IOW, except for the produce, I don’t have to worry about purchasing to make other things, as long as I or a member of my family is doing the making.

I’d call you old-fashioned only if you sent your money order in cuniform pressed into clay tablets.

The leftists stole both of those from our side in an attempt to make something of themselves..........

They did pretty good with it then, they got recycled chicago street trash elected to the white house.

I’ve already started that. I’m sick of the adulation already.

I usually watch Fox News late when I can’t sleep. Tonight, I’ve got the laptop for FReeping and am watching “Forensic Files”. A decided improvement over Obamania.

Well, my cuniform is a little rusty.

So I'll stick with hieroglyphics and papyrus.

I know we should pray for an awakening. And I do hate to see anyone come to the end time without having being sure of eternal hope BUT my real prayer is more and more becoming MARANATHA! Come quickly Lord Jesus!

While the “historic” train ride was “happening” yesterday, I watched Braveheart and wondered if there were any in our midst that would die for freedom.

My 10yo and I spent the day making ravioli and sauce to go with it.

When the schedule about the "stop" in Wilmington to "pick up" Biden was announced on the Delaware websites I still frequent, I commented it was a shame I couldn't be there but I was scheduled to wash my windows :) It didn't go over well with the moonbat crowd, nor did my reference to painting my kitchen on Tuesday!!!!

Poor babies.

Perhaps all the more so given that 3-4 other folks have “seen” something similar.

I’d like to know where the 4 Corners area is precisely on that map! LOL.

Thx. for your kind reply.

I want a greenhouse so very badly! Alas, we probably won’t get one done this year. Although we could still easily pull together a small coldframe.

I’m planning to expand our modest garden this year as well. Last year we had 3 raised beds, probably 60 square feet in all, but ended up doing well. And more importantly learning what will and will not grow in our semi-shaded back yard. Found out I can grow hot peppers like nobody’s business! LOL
