Media unleash round-the-clock Obama-mania
The Washington Times ^ | 1/20/09 | Jennifer Harper

President Obama's inauguration became a dream come true for the media, which often are all dressed up with nowhere to go.

Not so on Tuesday.

Journalists and news organizations went through their paces from dawn to dusk, some late into the night.

The inauguration was dramatically framed as "The Moment" on CNN, "The Hour of Change" on Fox News. Only C-SPAN presented the historic event with unembellished live sound, free from the patter of pundits and anchors or the distraction of gaudy, on-screen graphics.

Even the most complex packaging of "the moment" could not hide the imperfect oath of office, during which Mr. Obama and Supreme Court Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. mangled a few of the weighty words - about five seconds provided instant headlines, along with a little levity amid all the pomp and circumstance.

Are you telling me Roberts didn’t flub it?

I’m watching it on TV, and it looks like simple fact.

Please tell me what to think.

To be a good conservative like you must I do the following:

1. Support Palin (even though she’s a lost cause)
2. Deny global warming (even though it’s obviously occuring)
3. Pretend Roberts didn’t flub the oath (even though he did)

God save us if you’re setting the standard for our future.

Yup - you’re right - total Troll :) saw their lovely posts esp. the incessant need to use the prank phone call w/ Palin to bash her - it appears that you are def. a lib since those are the only folks still needing to bash this woman when your guy won.

"Even the most complex packaging of "the moment" could not hide the imperfect oath of office"

You can't censor 100 YouTube outtakes.

The MSM has already refused to show the uncut oaf of oriface.

Lefties are already blaming Chief Justice Roberts.

Just tonight I had to print the Times of London article on the botched oaf. It blames Osama. The headline reads:

Thunderstruck Barack Obama lost for words

Sarah Palin would have mopped the floor with Obama had she been on top of the ticket instead of McLame. And “global warming” is bunk.

Ummm... where is your evidence that global warming is occurring? Please disclose because no conservative that I know believes that global warming is real - esp. not man-made when temps worldwide on aggregate have been cooling - oh that dang global warming sure as heck must have caused the snow in Kansas, Texas, SoCal and Las Vegas/sarc Oh and why are the ice caps thicker?

The obama voters are all going to wake up with a massive hangover soon.
They treated this whole election and today like it was American Idol. Yahh well, now he’s president. They are acting like his tears cure cancer and world peace will be occuring now. All the speeches about hope and change aren’t going to cut it now. Just because he’s half black isn’t going matter anymore. The whole “his story is soo damn inspirational” isn’t going to amount to a bag full of crap when important foreign or domestic policy matters arise.

Has anyone considered this was foreshadowing? If this were a Shakespearean play, it would be.

Or a Greek tradety

"Sing to me, Muse, and the story
of that man skilled in all ways of contending..."

2. Deny global warming (even though it’s obviously occuring)

Come here to the sunny south and say that. You will probably wind up in a snowbank.

“Anchorman Chris Matthews also compared the Bush family to the Romanovs, the reigning family of old Russia. NBC correspondent Tom Brokaw likened former Vice President Dick Cheney, who was in a wheelchair, to ‘Dr. Strangelove,’ from the Cold War-era movie of the same name.”

For the love of God...

Well, in that case, our campaign against the media is like the Red Army fighting its way into Berlin in April 1945, with the media elite’s only response being to cower in their bunker as they issue increasingly hysterical and delusional pronouncements.

Chris Matthews reminds me of Eva Braun to Olbmerman’s Hitler (fine Aryan name, Oberman).

The MSM are like wolves descending on the innocently naive hordes of ill-educated sheep who constitute their audience.

See, I can construct barking mad, demonizing analogies too.

Un - effing - believable! They couldn't even give the President and Vice President a modicum of respect on Inauguration Day! Despicable and downright unAmerican!

The Bushes were booed loudly several times by crowds of black thugs during the proceedings. Saw a few nasty signs (to the effect of ‘good riddance’)during the parades, too.

The press won’t be able to cover for this guy forever.

Do you mean Obama can't stop a hurricane from hitting New Orleans?

Well, at least Obama won't be sending top secret military teams to "blow" the levies to drown people in New Orleans when the next hurricane hits.
