I don't know what is more scary. The rise of gangs or the rise of cluelessness implied by this article about our law enforcement.

LE's job isn't to protect you, it's to clean up the mess left behind after a crime has been committed. Get a CHL for when you're out and about, and a decent shotgun for home defense. Trivialities like gang colors, signs, and names become irrelevant when it's your life on the line.

You're right on! They won't do anything until they can generate a crisis that will permit them to grab more power. It's a well established pattern of behavior in our self-serving, rapacious, greedy and corrupt political class. They couldn't give a damn how much of our blood and property gets shed in the meantime.

You stated that LE is clueless, which I took to mean incompetent (some are, some aren’t). As for how the gangs are organized... well, I used to live next door to MS13 when I was in a townhouse in NoVA. Frankly, the only thing the predators understood was that the hubby and I were bigger predators, and we were left alone. The neighbors, unfortunately, were sheep and got fleeced. :(

We watched a NATGEO program Sunday about the Mexican gangs and what they do to their victims. Apparently, they make “soup” with their dead victims and if someone really makes them mad they do it with live ones too... they boil the bodies in some type of fuel (diesel, oil, or something to that effect).

There was also a program about the gangs in New Orleans, who, after the Crips and Bloods came to town, either killed them all or if any were left alive, ran them out of town. Makes you wonder what really went on during the Hurricane Katrina aftermath doesn’t it...
