They most likely did as they were taught, they called 911 on their cell.

1 of the boys who was shot up at VT came to my work as an intern in 2007. He was shot in the arm and leg, and was in PT for them. He was good with his leg but still having some (minor) trouble with his arm.

It’s not good to “desensitize” children with these things - that are very realistic (and careless, too - being the CRIMINAL, for God’s sake? Complete with soulless casual glibness when raping/stealing/killing?).

It can have an effect exactly as marketing/advertizing has an effect. To deny 1 is to deny the other.

I would imagine it would be fairly difficult to decapitate someone, I mean, you would have to go thru the spine. Maybe it’s not that hard, but it seems like it would be. At least with a knife.

I may be one of the few on FR with actual experience decapitating a man-sized animal. I used to hunt feral hogs with a knife until I got too old for it.

If you have a good sharp knife, it is not nearly as difficult as you might imagine. You have to find a joint in the spine.

The al queada videos were done with a dull knife and were carried out so as to prolong the agony.

I thought I’d be able to watch it in a detached manner, but that didn’t work. The worst part was the guy still screaming for a few seconds after the decap.

I think about all of them every day.

I will for some time.

If he was a radical Chinese Islamist; could be anything that set him off; and. . .or. .. perhaps he had ideas of entertaining her, here in USA and she set him straight. I would like to know if he was a Muslim, however. . .

Whatever; what a horrible, horrible unfolding. But Media better get the facts - and share them.

>>Yet no one to defend that girl.<<

And unable to defend herself.

It would appear to this observer that the school has incurred a ‘special duty’ to protect students in the aftermath of the Cho attack, if it continues to refuse to allow students the means to defend themselves.

“Deprivation of civil rights under color of law”, anyone?

OTOH, maybe the only way VT will get the message would be for the students to vote with their feet, and transfer to safer campi...

"It’s not good to “desensitize” children with these things"

That's where the PARENTS are supposed to step in and do their jobs...

Lack of parenting is more of a problem than is the proliferation of violent video games.

Geez. Years ago, I heard a guy who had only listened to such a video, say that just the poor man’s screams were so horrible he was very affected just by that sound. When I see all these islamic appeasers making excuses for them, ignoring the world wide threat they are, I always remember their utter brutality starting with their penchant for beheading. Sick bastards.

I saw a video of the Nepali hostages being beheaded at the Adam’s apple level of the neck, by Muslims in Iraq... the worst, sickest, darkest thing I’ve ever witnessed.

I watched 2 of those videos.
Most chilling, horrendous things I ever saw.
The victim kneeling on the ground, listening to the jihadist garbage, waiting for the inevitable.
And the screaming. My nightmares couldn't compete with what I saw.

I didn't want to watch. I felt somehow that I should. Know thy enemy and all that.
You are correct, detachment is impossible if you have a soul.

It makes me wonder what kind of soulless sacks of garbage are we now going to let out of Gitmo?
I know it is not very Christian of me, but I sometimes would like to be there when obama, the terrorists, and anyone who helps them, get their comeuppance.

Yes, but there is REALITY - many are NOT doing their jobs. And there is also genetics - some people simply are more predisposed to poor behavior than others.

So, not saying games are the primary problem, but they (and ammoral movies, TV shows, etc) FEED whatever problems that do pre-exist.

Again, denying that is denying the effectiveness of marketing.

Yeah, I saw a thing on Samurai swords on Time Warp. But, I don't think this guy was a martial arts pro. But maybe he was.

You actually hunted the pigs with a knife?? Shades of John Lock (from Lost, not that other guy).
You’re probably right. I know when I cut up a chicken, if I get it at the joint, it’s not hard to cut. But, do you think he had the presence of mind to find the joint on a struggling person? I hate these stories, as I just hate the idea of being decapitated.

I think the games may be more of a symptom, but I do think there have been studies that showed more aggressive behavior after playing that type of game. I don’t know if the studies were any good, however as I don’t know the details of how they were done.
When my kids were young, Ninja Turtles was big. I didn’t see a problem with them and allowed the boys to watch them (I didn’t let them watch much TV). My youngest decided it would be a good idea to try out Ninja kicks on his brothers. I had to make them stop watching Ninja Turtles. So, kids are impacted by what they see, it would make sense that they are more impacted if they are actually participating.
And parents really DO need to stop being their kids’ friends and start parenting. No is a great word for them to learn!

I haven’t seen anything on the MSM about this. Is the story true? Is there an update?
