No comment required. Just observe the day, be polite, and uphold the Republic for which we stand.

In the beginning was the 1911, and the 1911 was THE pistol, and it was good. And behold the Lord said, "Thou shalt not muck with my disciple John's design for it is good and it workith. For John made the 1911, and lo all of his weapons, from the designs which I, the Lord, gave him upon the mountain."

I have a 1969 Belgium HP. It’s really sweet.

LOL! Well, that too. That's just being prepared.

Historically, the US and other nations were in a big manufacturing race. And Mr. Browning won. He was a manufacturing genius.

Mr Kalashnikov came in second.... but Mr. Browning won. And K's B-day is in October. Go figure.

The cool thing about Browning... I don't care what it was, shotgun, pistol, or a rifle. I wouldn't need to see a picture. It operates like you expect.

You do need to press with both thumbs on one of the rifle thingies.

His Model 1919 Machine Gun sent far more villains to their resting place, but the Model 1911 Pistol always comes to mind first.

Gran-daddy's Automatic 12 Gauge always comes to my mind first. That and duck to eat in winter.

They are my childhood memories.

I learned the other stuff later.

That picture was taken in a free land that let common folks just make whatever weapons they wanted, and then try to sell them to the government.

Wasn't taken here... but I wish it was.

He understood ergonomics before such a word existed. His gun designs are like an extension of yourself.

I’d say I’d not legally half deaf from listening to rock music at obscene volumes.

But if I had the chance to fire some stuff, without having to pay for it and get to blow up some stuff, taking into account I’ll lose some hearing permanently... I’d do it.
