It is a follow up to the mods. The story was posted without a link. I sent that to the mods via abuse report, and then added this if they wanted to add the authors and date also missing from the original post.

I have a friend who lived in Australia at one time and he said that the eucalyptus trees are horrible for fires because the oil is so volatile.

What happens is that the tree burns and when the oil ignites, it turns into a fireball that shoots up into the sky and then lands somewhere else and starts another fire.

The problem is that there’s no way of knowing where the fireball is going to land and if it lands on another eucalyptus tree, it just keeps going like that.

When there were fires, the people just vacated their houses and headed for the coast until it was over.

There are lots of Muslim troublemakers in Down Under.

Sounds like arson jihad, IMHO.

They did the same to Greece a few years ago.

Jihadis threaten to burn down the American northwest.

(Is there a link to a turban silhouette target?)

The Oakland fire was like this. However, the terrain and tiny streets is what really made it bad. Standard urban fire tactics and radio systems were of little use as well.

In AU, hard to fathom how fire can move that fast and hot in open country, but I have heard that it does.

I hope it’s not true, but terrorism is a very real possibility:

Islam group urges forest fire jihad
Josh Gordon
September 7, 2008

AUSTRALIA has been singled out as a target for “forest jihad” by a group of Islamic extremists urging Muslims to deliberately light bushfires as a weapon of terror.

US intelligence channels earlier this year identified a website calling on Muslims in Australia, the US, Europe and Russia to “start forest fires”, claiming “scholars have justified chopping down and burning the infidels’ forests when they do the same to our lands”.

Bushfire toll reaches 131:

“...The towns of Kinglake and Marysville have been wiped out as if they had been bombed, and authorities are treating the disaster like a terrorist attack, with more than 330,000 hectares of land affected.

Almost half of Victoria may be declared a crime scene, with arsonists believed responsible for several of the fires. Police said an offender implicated in the fatal fires could be charged with the offence of arson causing death, a crime with a maximum penalty of 25 years in jail...”

guess there'll be no donations or sympathy from this lot, BUT IT'S GOOD TO KNOW HOW THEY THINK:

"They burned in this life, and will burn in the next. النَّارُ وَعَدَهَا اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ

"I got an email asking for blood donations, entitled 'Australia's worst bushfire disaster: Victoria 09 - what can we do?' (kind of reminded me of another email - 'Gaza Massacre - what can you do?', but the latter deserved attention, and the former deserved the trash can). There's no way my blood is going to run in the veins of some kaafir, nor will I be going out of my way to show any sympathy, pity or offering help. These people are muharibeen, and under the threat of Allah'a 'adhab.

"So my attitude is ha ha serve you right, but may Allah spare the Muslim Ummah of a similar affliction." "My husband read other news and told me of something phenomenal , the bushfire which they calculated happened and was heading at an expected direction. Families of firefighters and those involved were told to stay at a certain area which they through their technology predicted very safe. The course of the bushfire changed violently and like a sea of fire rushed through and was coming so fast those families didnt have time to escape. It came so fast it burnt the trunks of trees and the leaves on top were still green. It was as if it was a deliberate act of God. For a nation which seem indifferent about the mass murder of other people around the world, it would seem that one ofa small scale has boomeranged home."

“...The statement, in Arabic, said that “summer has begun so do not forget the Forest Jihad.”

The writer called on all Muslims in the United States, Europe, Russia and Australia to “start forest fires.”

The posting quoted imprisoned Al Qaida terrorist Abu Musab Al-Suri, as saying “Jihad is an art just like poetry, music, and the fine arts. There are people that draw and there are others that are jihadists. They both act upon inspiration.”...”

It's a tragedy, but in a longer view, it's not. Great info like you posted, along with acts like this may be, will finally snap people of their torpor. The "religion of peace" will once again be seen as what it is.

For all the sneering that the French have gotten on FR, there will be a race between Australia and them to see which has the first and the bigger backlash. Remember, they have a history of finally getting a bellyful and reacting extremely.

Too bad about England. I think it's a lost cause--or at least a follower.

Ah, yes. We have a small bit of that problem here in So Cal. The eucalyptus trees are so beautiful but deadly in a fire. Some areas have taken them out altogether.

Yikes. I forgot about the eucalyptus trees. They are oily boogers. I just heard that the fire detectives have three good leads. Also, I agree with the earlier post, that Australia is plagued with radical muslims and what a way to spead chaos and destruction and punish the Australians for their work in Iraq and Afghanistan. Religion of Peace. My days of tolerance are quite finished.

Your post that the fires are jihad makes good sense. Destruction, murder, chaos and punishment for Australia’s work in Iraq. Other than jihadwatch, there are probably more sites or links to targets/information. Islam is leaking through our borders just as fast as the illegal Mexicans and illegal Chinese. A couple of months ago, I read about AK47s streaming discharge while dancing in the streets in Phoenix, AZ. Of course with their stupid Dyke Governor now in DC, perhaps Arizona can take their muslim problem more serious.

The jihadis themselves call it “forest jihad”.

Sounds like pure envy IMHO by morally primitive sand people against those who dwell in temperate zones and worship the true G-d.

They’re in our midst and it’s time to make them feel very unwelcome. The Aussies have begun to react in this fashion and the deadly fires are revenge by the jihadi thug bloody savages!
