Attention all Freepers located in Southwest Virginia! I am interested in holding a regional convention to discuss how we as a group move forward with the issues that matter to all conservatives. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
I may be interested. Approx date? Location?
sometime in March, Location hasn’t been finalized as of yet, but most likely around Marion, Va.

We’re planning a March on Washington, DC, on May 30.
The State Resistance groups are planning State protests . . . some of the people in Denver who were protesting against the current President when he signed the Stimulus Bill were from the Colorado Resistance group.

Why don’t you just attend the 9th District GOP ball?
I would if I could find anyone in the District who represented the GOP in an official capacity.
I will freepmail you that info when I get home from work. You can find out from the Montgomery County board of elections in the meantime or contact Brad Finch’s or Dave Nutter’s offices if you want to find that information today.
I think you will find the GOP in SWVA is quite organized.
I live in Washington County and the county chairwoman doesn’t even have a functioning email account. There is no store front for the GOP in this county to my knowledge.
Also the State GOP website is a joke. It hasn’t been updated since before the election. Also the State Chairman cannot be contacted by email either.
The virginia GOP is way behind the times apparently.

You are wrong. Why don’t you go back to TX?
What I mean is this: You seem gungho to be negative. Have you called any Republican Elected officials offices to find out how to get in touch with 9th district organizers?
You cannot just walk into a new place and start criticizing everything without making an effort to see how things work.
You and I must be looking after different websites or something. A little thin skinned aren’t you? I stated what I know to be fact, sorry if it isn’t what you thought you would hear.
But this is exactly what I am talking about. We are both conservatives. Yet we are bickering amongst ourselves instead of focusing on what really needs to be done.
This regional rivalry crap is ridiculous don’t you think?
Down here in East Tennessee we are planning a regional gathering. We have included SW Virginia in our group plan if you want to join us.
MHGinTN has considered his place with out door facilities near Johnson city for the site.

I have a number of people who have expressed interest in a SW VA meeting. I will send an email to them and see what they think.

Dittos! We need to get these groups to form coalitions with other conservative groups so we can get the numbers up in the thousands!
