I like Sarah Palin...

Recently, however, my confidence in Governor Palin’s judgment has begun to ebb – most dramatically, this week...

So where does the Constitution define what is a ‘natural born citizen’? That’s the key. Later in Section 8, it specifically gives congress the authorization to define citizenship rules. There are a lot of ‘if’s’ for Obama based on if he was born outside the US, if his parents where legally married, if is mother met residency requirements, etc, but as for Jindal, it is pretty cut and dry. We’ve had many presidents who had immigrant parents. (eg. Andrew Jackson, James Buchanan, Chester Arthur).

If the 2012 primary were held today, Palin could beat Romney in Utah and Huckabee in Arkansas.

I also think it is asininely stupid to hold either candidate responsible for what some of their alleged supporters are alleged to be doing.

Now if Romney himself makes a statement trashing Palin as Huckabee has done ('She hasn't paid her dues or earned her way into a primary spot'), then that is fair game.

But from what I've seen, the Romney supporters (mainly economic conservatives) seem to be a far more intelligent crowd than the Huckabee supporters, whom I refuse to trash because we will need both groups to win an election and undo the damage Zer0 will do by 2012.

I'm mortified by the media treatment of Gov. Palin over the past 6 months and have great sympathy for her and her family. However that sympathy alone does not sway me into the catagory of "supporter", I'm afraid.

The lefties and the MSM have succeeded in putting her in a leather jacket, strapping her to a motorcycle and sending her over the shark! She cannot come back from this in the eyes of a jaded and cynical public. The conservative movement no longer has the energy to resusitate morbund personalities in order to field candidates.

When Obama and company have been found out to be the tyrannts that they are by the 25% of voters that put them into power, the switch back to Reaganville will be much easier for them if we have a serious and sober conservative leader ready to lead without "baggage". Sadly, Sarah won't be that person, IMHO.

While I was a Romney supporter myself, I'm leery of supporting a candidate who couldn't beat out John McCain -- the most unsatisfactory GOP candidate since Thomas Dewey.

You can blame that on open primaries. Had the primaries been closed to party only, McCain would have been an "also ran" in the primaries, instead of the general.

What is more important to the future of America-that Bristol Palin was interviewed by Greta or that Sarah Palin called for Obama to veto the stimulus bill and thus forced him to take complete ownership of the bill? The former is a red herring, the latter-harpooning the big fish.

Open primaries were a contributing cause toward McCain's selection, I agree.

Yet, knowing the rules ahead of time, neither Romney nor Huckabee nor Giuliani nor Thompson was inventive enough to arrive at a winning strategy.

No need making excuses for any of them. If they couldn't figure out a way to beat McCain, they're not going to figure out a way to beat the Democrat. Thus, they're not worth putting forward again.

I happened to see a clip of this, Greta stated that Bristol set this up on her own. Sarah stopped by and surprised them and Greta said “I didn’t know you would be here”.

Yea, I got a kick out of that one . . . Greta said she expected the other grandmother to bring the baby out--you know, the one that was just arrested for selling oxycontin. Sure, Greta. Sure Sarah. Here in Juneau we are back to the way it was before the election. Sarah reaching across the isle to liberal Dems and conservatives saying she doesn't know what she's doing. This interview is just one more piece of evidence on that point.

Despite the constant MSM bashing, her poll numbers are rising already, especially among independents. Moreover, although many independents voted for Obama, 2/3 of them according to a poll, say she's getting a raw deal from the press.

They'll give her another look. It's a long way to 2012.

Sarah Palin's Problem

It wouldn't surprise me to find out that in her time, articles were titled "Margaret Thatcher's Problem".

The parallels are striking.

I honestly don’t see “many missteps” No she is not perfect, nobody is. But she’s close enough for me.

Obama merely talks about transparency. Palin invokes it.
Yet one more reason why the electorate will support her overwhelmingly.

If Palin wishes to be in the running in 2012 she had better get moving on her rehab pronto! She needs policy papers and serious interviews (”I’m not here to talk of my family’s problems, George, I’m here to speak of America’s new socialist tragedy!”). She needs a speaking tour and a publicist. She needs to bone-up on foreign policy and become a recognized expert in SOMETHING! She has a very deep well to climb out of in short order just to be on even ground with Jindal and other rising stars. Her name recognition aside, would anyone be giving her a second look (politically) if she had not just LOST her first bid to be vice-president?

“Jindal . . . not a natural born citizen.”

Jindal was born in Baton Rouge, LA.

Let me guess, you support RINO Romney?

Fairly or unfairly she has been Quayled while Jindal is stepping up to the plate.

So how do you expect the MSM to "Palin" Jindal? You know they're going to try...
