I like Jindal even more now than I did before. I think he did great! Endless attacks easily backfire; he spoke to those who kicked the GOP out in 06 and 08 and identified the mistakes the party made. I think this will score some serious points. A rational, reasoned approach, instead of the rabid, bug-eyed attack that the libs expected.

I agree totally with your assessment. Jindal did a very appropriate and intelligent speech....and this is the first time I heard him speak. It’s nice to see sincere, honest intelligence...

My support of Rudy is based on one thing. The fact that I believe the world is going to Hell in a hand-basket with Mexico about to dissolve into chaos, Pakistan about to become a Taliban-run country with nukes, South America continuing to fall to despots like Chavez.

I want an SOB in the White House, who is loyal to this country, and Rudy IMHO is the only viable candidate that fits the bill. All of his views on social issues pale in comparison to what we will be facing on the world stage. And Obama is going to leave it as a huge mess when he is done with his first (and hopefully only) term.

Yeah...there were a few tongue-in-cheek subtleties that people missed in that speech. :)

"Usually the Mitt people are the Palin bashers."

What are you talking about? That's a boldfaced lie. I haven't encountered a single Mitt supporter who didn't also like Palin, and I communicate with many quite frequently by E-mail, where people are more likely to be honest about their opinions.

“Fred was in the primaries along with Mike to help John McCain win.”

There’s no way McCain would’ve become the nominee without those two.

Right now it is Roy Jenkins “Churchill”. Jenkins was/is a liberal politician, and knew him. So you have to take some things with a grain of salt, but overall it is a good read.

Even better is William Manchesters “Last Lion” series.

"That [game rigged] I blame on McCain."

I wish it were that simple. McCain was merely a patsy. He (or rather his overlords) ordered his entire campaign NOT to lay a glove on 0bama.

"Palin is not too conservative for the GOP. Last I read she had a 90% approval rating among the R's...."

Oh, I agree with you; It's the vibe the GOP is putting out there as they and McCain hung her out to dry. She became an unexpected "accidental" star - much to the GOP's chagrin.

"Romney ran on a pro-life Reagan platform, and while Governor was conservative on 24 of 26 issues, until he became pro-life which made 25. I understand why people perceive it the way you do, but in my opinion it's an inaccurate perception. Additionally, he's a Washington outsider, who's and expert on the economy."

Unfortunately, Romney had to cut some corners to succeed in Mass., and perception becomes reality. I believe he was railroaded during the Primary, as do you. As they say, he "WUZ ROBBED." By the NWO Elites.

To tell you the truth, after 4 years between the Marxist-in-Chief and the Globalist tearing at us from the other end, I'm not sure what'll be left of the America or Constitution by 2012...

Aren't I Mr. Optimism? :-D

Sarah has a long way to go before I'll buy into her. She's charismatic enough, for sure, but she has domestic problems with which she must deal...I have yet to have seen a ring on her single-parent daughter's hand...and she has a long way to go in her performances during interviews.

She bombed on during Gibson's interview and Couric's interview and was only competitive in her debate with Biden-and that should have been a cake-walk for any capable Conservative candidate.

She has yet to have demonstrated that she has the depth of knowledge and seriousness of attitude to garner my support.

It is absolute madness to jump on anyone's bandwagon yet. To do so would be making an irrational and emotional decision.

Whomever I support will have to earn it over the next two years.

I was not defending McCain. I was defending Jindal. I am thankful GWB kept my family and friends safe for seven years. For that I am eternally grateful for him.

Jindal doesn’t want volcanoes to be monitored? Is he trying to take Palin out early?

"Obama is in a league of his own as was Reagan."

I just don't see it, never have. When I listen to Obama, I see an arrogant, preachy, narcissist, who is not nearly as brilliant as everyone says, and who looks like a goofy, big-eared 13-year-old on the way to his first dance. The alleged charisma totally escapes me. He's a bit like Al Gore, talking down to the audience as if they're children, but in a baritone instead of that semi-lispy, retardo Gore voice.

He is CLEVER, which is not the same as brilliant, and it is easy to be clever - and deceptive (lying) and get away with it when the media is covering for you and is in your hip pocket.

I am with you — his speech style is one of I am above all and he NEVER looks at the camera but at his teleprompters the whole time. I bet ZERO couldn’t wing a speech like Sarah and Rudy did at the Convention when their teleprompters messed up.

Have never gotten where they say ZERO is a good speaker. He rambles and rambles and when you reflect on what he said, you have a hard time figuring it out. To me a good speaker is one who can speak without using a teleprompter.

One of the best speeches I have ever heard was George Allen when he spoke to the OK GOP Convention the other year. He never looked down but look at the audience, spoke from the heart and no teleprompter. He was AWESOME to hear speak in person and probably why the MSM spent so much time going after him.
