"Martial Law" In House of Representatives
Burgess House Gov and Republicans House Gov ^

From Congressman Burgess's site:

http://burgess.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=103976

News "Martial Law" In House of Representatives

Washington, Sep 28, 2008 - Under the martial law procedure, long-standing House rules that require at least one day between the unveiling of significant legislation and the House floor vote on that legislation — so that Members can learn what they are being asked to vote on — are swept away. Instead, under “martial law,” the Leadership can file legislation with tens or hundreds of pages of fine print and move immediately to debate and votes on it, before Members of Congress, the media, or the public have an opportunity to understand fully what provisions have been altered or inserted into the legislation behind closed doors. This is the procedure that the Leadership intends to use to muscle through important bills in the next two days.

“VOTES? I”M READY TO VOTE WITH A BULLET.”
__________
Hearing that all over the internet, in stores, post offices, mumblings of some sort of revolution is going to have to take place. Very scary times, I don’t think Americans will submit without an armed revolt eventually.

Since he is an enemy combatant, it is legal to remove him.

And none of the media people have the decency or backbone to report it.

How come only Burgess and Inofe have made reference to it?

Think of what the average American person would do if they knew the truth!

You all remember that nugget Obama introduced while Senator?

S2433 - U.N.’s Millennium Declaration

Senator Coburn stopped it.

Well, using martial law will march it right through.

Then, we will no longer be the USA.

There will not ever be a next time for the Republicans!

Yep, the rats continue to consolidate power. The coup d'etat that began on Friday, the 13th of February 2009 continues. One party rule.

And here is another such response.

The time is past due for an extensive amount of “wetwork” to be done, in order to improve the effective functioning of our congress. The time is past due to water the tree of liberty, that it may continue to flourish.

Wetwork on congresscritters (you really don't think that fooled the SS ‘monitors’ lurking at FR, do you?) will not fix what ails the Amerikan people ... they voted to embrace whatever socialism their Kenyan Klown decides to put in place.

no new parties. That is the sucker manuver the democrats push.

TAKE OVER THE GOP.

A freerepublic.com caucus INSIDE the GOP.

We do freep actions on protesters, why not freep actions INSIDE THE GOP?

How about putting as many people from freerepublic IN THE GOP LEADERSHIP?

IF we can organize a cruise for fun, we can organize a local GOP club.

control the local, control the party.

come on folks how many people manage to post on the rush thread every single day?

Brings tears to my eyes, too, stockpirate.

This great country does not deserve to be treated this way. God help us, is all I can say.

I love the idea but read the local party constitutions. They are designed to prevent this sort of power grab. It would take ten years to do what you propose. We don't have 10 years!

I remember something along those lines as well. It was like an “electronic bank run”, but through part of the stock markets. I remember the number 2, IIRC, but not sure if it was billion, or millions.

Just trying to help piece this together, because I remember the same thing, but not the details. I do know it was in the Fall after the time of the Democratic National Convention, and shortly preceeding, or at the very beginning of the really dire talk in Washington about necessary actions to stave off a depression...

As SD said, no-one really knows where this money went, or who did the effective “withdrawals” from the markets. People were rather worried as I recall for several days about this then the talk about it died down somewhat with Congress moving ahead with their plans and dominating the public discourse at that point.

I’m trying to understand this and am a bit behind, as usual. Wasn’t this for the one day, the 13th?

A people unwilling to use extreme violent force to preserve their liberty deserves the tyrants that rule them.

Hmm.
Need to check more into this.

Martial law hints at some specific actions, mainly the military running law enforcement and other things. No sign of that yet.

Might depend on where one is looking for what level of signs.

Some cite supposed massive preparations over the last near decade.
