Regarding salty talk aimed at the president (or other officials) vs visits from the SS
March 5, 2009 | Jim Robinson

Unfortunately, we are saddled with a communist sympathizer in the White House. I don't know whether or not he's an actual card carrying commie, but he's definitely an America-hating, anti-capitalist Marxist leftist who thinks communism is the way to go. Now I remember when America used to fight against communism. It wasn't that long ago. Many of us on FR are veterans of wars against communism and some of us believe that American citizens who are communists are the enemy within, ie, the domestic enemy we've sworn to defend against. American citizen? hmmmm... that may be a loophole for Obama.

At any rate, the oath is to defend our constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. I can imagine that this places an enormous strain on our Secret Service agents. It's obvious to anyone with a brain that Obama is an enemy of the constitution. So should the SS defend the constitution or defend the anti-constitution commie?

So now comes the problem. If you feel it's your duty to call Obama a traitor and use salty language in your proposed resolution, ie, suggest the commie be keelhauled, walked off the plank, run up the yardarm, tarred and feathered and run out of Dodge, etc, etc, etc, you may be facing a visit from your friendly Secret Service. And even though your visiting agent may agree politically, and may take his oath to the constitution seriously, he's still sworn to protect the officeholder and it's his duty to take all threats seriously. And that may include serving me with a subpoena to turn over your IP address. Now I'm duty bound to protect your privacy to the best of my ability, but I cannot defend against stupidity.

Best advice I can give is to keep it to yourself. Don't post anything that may embarrass you later, or end you up in the slammer.

Ever vigilant.

Keep your powder dry.

Thanks!

And to JimRob, too, true patriots all, albeit I have always assumed we are all on a target list by the annointed one since his Acorn-powered election. Hence, I believe that we need to stress his legal removal, humiliation, disgrace and then prosecution. All of which, is totally legal, and constitutes something that the SS has NO AUTHORITY to investigate, arrest, or prosecute over.

But with the annointed one...those limits of authority and lawfulness of the Treasury Dept. SS too may no longer hold

Things to keep in mind from time to time.

Thanks Jim Robinson!

I think sometimes we need a Breathalyzer app on the site.

Probably a good idea to bump this once in a while.

A word to the wise is sufficient.

In 2004 in spite of being traffic ticket free for decades, I got stopped twice by female Chippies and once by a local female leo. Their so called reasons for stopping me weren’t even close to being driving violations. They didn’t issue tickets because the polite discussions after the stops exposed they had created/fabricated the reasons for the stops.

I had a similar incident happen to me just recently.

Just a few weeks after writing that pelosi does not speak for Americans. (and certainly does not speak for me)
That the only people pelosi represents are those from her district.
That someone needs to remind her of that fact.

I still feel that way.

I recently discussed those stops with a retired leo. He said that my Republican bumper stickers and anti enviral stickers on a big SUV probably ticked these 3 nags off.

So they came up with a bs reason to pull me over. If I had been hostile/beligerant or had a beer or two in me, I might have ended up with a full search of the vehicle and me. In one case my wife was with me, and she handed her license to the chippie and demanded to know why we were stopped when others were passing and breaking the speed limit. After our licenses were checked, I was told to watch how I was driving.

I was polite, and my driver’s license was as noted clean for decades. Our insurance card also noted that we have the lowest rate possible due to our driving records.

We took the bumper stickers off that evening and no more stops.

I was polite, and my driver’s license was as noted clean for decades.

I have no bumper stickers. (have a Marines license plate holder)
Policeman asked me if I ever lived in CA.
Said there was a warrant/hit on my plate for burglary.

I did also have a AAA sticker and a Christian symbol (fish), so maybe that was it. :)

Two other officers pulled up.
The policeman who pulled me over came back over to me, and said someone else in CA was using my birth date.

Then I was sent on my way...

Sounds like you have an identity theft problem.

You should go to the police station with a witness to discuss what happened and find out why you/your vehicle/license plate was singled out.

Have you ever had a license plate stolen?

No, never had a plate stolen.

I'm also pretty sure there wasn't any identity theft.
The policeman who stopped me didn't know I'd just had a background check done for my newest handgun permit.
Until I told him.

Only because there is more talk of lists and more lists and even more lists to find ourselves on.

A reminder, with the upcoming elections...curb your enthusiasm.

I still think Obama is a jerk, a dork, a Commie, and a closet Muslim.

But that’s just me.

Be still my beating heart
You must learn to stand your ground
It’s not healthy to run at this pace
The blood runs so red to my face
I’ve been to every single book I know
To soothe the thoughts that plague me so
