Media conspiring with Democrats against Limbaugh

A new documentary movie by courageous filmmaker John Ziegler entitled “Media Malpractice” made its theatrical début Thursday in Seattle. The movie systematically proves how corrupt and dishonest the American media were during the campaign of 2008.

The film was revealing, coming just days after a similar well-orchestrated effort by the Obama administration, Democratic Party officials, and liberal advocacy groups in league with the mainstream news media against Rush Limbaugh and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal as their primary targets.

Even the president played his part in the bizarre, staged play by telling congressional Republicans, “You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done.”

Ironically, the plan to attack Limbaugh was already being hatched while the unfair attacks on Gov. Sarah Palin, documented by Ziegler, were reaching a crescendo last fall.

The manipulation can only be called propaganda. Old-fashioned, unbiased journalism has died. The Limbaugh attacks in the news, we now know, were cooked up by Democratic strategists James Carville and Stanley Greenberg last fall. Internet-based Politico reveals the White House involvement in the conspiracy when it reported, “A senior White House aide has been tasked with helping to guide the Limbaugh strategy.”

Members of the media are performing their part of the script. Three speeches and the media’s response to them serve as concise illustrations of the media role in the propaganda machine. They acted in unison, attacking and vilifying Limbaugh and mocking Jindal. Conversely, they are a choir of praises for the “tone of his speech” when reporting about Obama’s address to Congress.

Limbaugh delivered his terrific speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference and it was broadcast nationwide. He detailed the differences between ultra-liberal Barack Obama’s big government agenda and the ideal of smaller government. He explained why conservatives care about the individual. Limbaugh’s speech inspired the crowd, reminding them of the founding principles of America. He showed how starkly Obama’s philosophy differed from traditional American ideas, while explaining what exactly is at stake in this present debate.

However, you wouldn’t know this by listening to the mainstream media. Bill Schneider on CNN said, “Well, it was an angry tone … this was a very angry speech. They didn’t do so well last year but they’re still angry. The tone of this speech was mocking, bullying, it was full of contempt, and I thought it was a very harsh speech.”

David Letterman and Katie Couric joined the fun mocking Limbaugh’s clothing and his delivery, this, given the fact that none of the late-night comedians have poked any fun at Obama while they viciously mocked Bush. Chris Matthews lambasted Limbaugh while needling his guests to disown him.

Now, compare the reception of Limbaugh’s speech with the media’s reaction to Obama. They criticized Limbaugh’s tone, ignoring the content. For Obama, instead, they focused on the rhetoric he uses to mask his agenda, overlooking his leftist content. While universally praising Obama’s rhetorical flair, most commentators ignored what Obama actually said in his address. They omitted talk of the huge deficits, tax hikes for all through carbon taxes and the return to class warfare.

David Gergen oozed about “a rousing speech, took us up to the mountaintops.” The New York Times reported Obama’s words, “were often stern, but laced with optimism and humor,” and “he framed his argument with fresh urgency.” Chris Matthews simply called it “Churchillian.” To top it off, CBS host Maggie Rodriguez said, “And Americans loved it … then out comes Bobby Jindal.” Rodriquez called Jindal “Debbie Downer, saying ‘hated it, it’s not going to work’” because he didn’t agree with Obama’s leftist plan for America.

Talking heads praised Obama before and after his speech. MSNBC introduced the Jindal speech and Matthews unprofessionally audibly muttered, “Oh God,” as Jindal approached the camera.

As if muttering “Oh God” weren’t enough, Matthews introduced Jindal saying “we’re going to hear a fairly right-wing speech tonight.” Charlie Gibson echoed those sentiments, “He is a very conservative Republican and you’ll hear that reflected, I think, in his remarks tonight.” Yet, not one utterance was heard from the media about how liberal Obama and his agenda are. Maybe the most ludicrously biased comments were by Washington Post columnist Amy Argetsinger, who “found his (Jindal’s) Manson eyes disturbing.” The only exception to the discussion of the content of his speech was to say that Jindal was far-right.

These three different speeches provide clear examples of the media’s preferential treatment for liberal ideas. The media shield the public from true debate. Instead they propagandize for Obama and the political left. Unfortunately, media bias didn’t end after November.

The left attacks Limbaugh because they need someone to demonize.

This is just a wag the dog scenario to distract attention away from the disastrous effects of Obambi’s policies on our great and beloved country.

It really is significant that a whole segment of the White House is activated and deployed against a private citizen. The Left is making its big move with OBamma and does not intend to let anyone get in its way.

I consider the attack against Rush to be a case of public aggravated menacing. It is criminally malfeasant. Rush is handling it just about as well as can be, but this sh*t is not funny and no one should be naive enough to shrug it off.

Remember how Clinton wielded the IRS club to brutalize private organizations and individuals. These 'rat-bastards are not just playing for the sport of it, and we need to remember that, as events develop.

...a ... well-orchestrated effort by the Obama administration, Democratic Party officials, and liberal advocacy groups in league with the mainstream news media against Rush Limbaugh and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal as their primary targets.

Two things.

Thing 1. We Americans are so scared of a left wing (Marxist/socialist) takeover of our wonderful Country, that we'll come to the aid of Rush and also Bobby in strength and numbers that defy imagination.

Thing 2. I heard an interesting come-back to the notion that el Rushbo is the figurative head of the GOP (I forget where, Hannity?) Perhaps a better case can be made for George Soros being the CURRENT head of the Democratic Party!

Of course in the Olden Days anyone in any decent-sized town had their choice of a half-dozen papers covering the spectrum.

Nowadays it’s one paper to rule them all, one paper to bind them...

That is an excellent point, for an interesting reason.

Rush has challenged Obama to a debate on Rush's home turf, knowing full well that the president has no reason to accept and every reason to ignore his "offer." Maybe Rush should extend his offer to George Soros, too!

IOW, Rush is essentially trying to pull his own Alinsky rule #12 propaganda stunt, and Obama doesn't have enough negatives right now to be the ideal target. But he doesn't want someone inconsequential, either - and George Soros is right in the mold of a target who actually is important, but who would rather not put his face on the Democratic Party which, actually, he has "bought and paid for."

Oh come on. This is NOT a revelation. Everyone who has any sense of conscience left knows that the corrupt MSM is, and has been, working hand-in-glove with Democrats.

In fact, in my view, the only reason Obama is still in office is because the corrupt MSM has been proping him up by avoiding writing negative (honest) stories about his major screw ups.

I find the lost media unfortunate for the people of the United States. Our communication is tainted and biased and we are the lesser for it.

In a nation this huge with as many people residing within (legal or not), we must have opposing views and opinions with which to make our decisions.

One size fits all is an unholy untruth but is believed.

This scandalous behavior apparently has risen to the top - the Supreme Court in their refusal to consider the eligibility of the current president.

Rush Limbaugh may be pushing to be shut down. Then people might get his message.

We have lost freedom of speech and the freedom of the press.

What is next? Our souls?

*MEGA PING*

You both hit the target on this one, particularly the fact that George Soros has finally gotten the candidate he bought and paid for in the Oval Office: A Marxist Puppet whose strings he pulls on a daily basis, aided and abetted by two of the most extremist Democrats (Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi) to hold public office.

I, too was electrified by Limbaugh's CPAC speech, which is what America needs: A stark contrast to the Socialist agenda now being foisted upon multiple generations of hard working Americans.

We also need GOP Leadership that will retard this dangerous trend--and hence why the heat needs to be turned up under Chairman Steel to apologize to Rush for the idiotic response he gave in the interview with the MSM Talking Head. That is sorely disappointing to say the least, and until he does I will not send one red cent to the GOP coffers.

Ann Coulter brings up Soro’s position as the head of the democrat party on TV quite often

And I have been saying it here on FR for some time, starting shortly after Limbaugh starting getting eviscerated by Present Obama and his lackey, the MSM.

That last chapter of Coulter's new book is quite enlightening as to Soros and his meddling in the political process.

They can conspire all they want - Rush is on now, and he's defending himself quite well. He's much more fortunate than Joe the Plumber - Joe couldn't get is message out easily when the media/democRATS attacked him. Rush has the golden EIB microphone and he's handing the left's butt to them repeatedly over this.

Where was the media when Carvile publicly stated that he wanted Bush to fail?
