Terrible lizards trapped by terrible Flood

Tas Walker

A trail of fossilized claw marks found in northern Spain reveals the desperation of animals struggling to escape drowning in the Genesis Flood.

...

That the footprints were preserved at all indicates the dinosaurs were engulfed by abnormal conditions. Today footprints are quickly obliterated, especially on a beach or in a strong current. But in the sandstone in Spain even the delicate features of the scratches were preserved, which means that sediment covered the tracks (and the ripple marks) soon after the dinosaur struggled past...

Logical fallacy that God can to anything He wants. Try again.

Ha Ha Ha Ha. Hoisted by your own petard once again I see. So your God is incapable of doing anything He wants? Doesn’t that pretty much debunk and rule out miracles?

One of the best thing a person can learn is that they’re not as smart as they think they are. Another great thing to learn is that your own notion of what God is doesn’t always compare to how He’s revealed Himself.

“So your God is incapable of doing anything He wants?”

First of all. That wasn’t what was put forth. “He wants” wasn’t represented in that statement AT ALL. Secondly, as for the possibility of there being things God cannot do, consider His Word.

Tts 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

It’s a fallacy, having no meaning, and cannot be answered in a quick yes or no because the question doesn’t make any sense.

Sounds like Dan should move to Cuba, where Christianity has to be hidden behind closed doors, secretively...he won't have to hear about Jesus and WE won't have to hear from Dan! :)

Does retread mean someone who was banned before but came up with a new name?

Like I said in an earlier post. His comments must have been really stupid if his got pulled and dan’s got left. Did jay get banned?

You’re being ‘trapped’ in an assinine childish arguement that assumes to maintain that God can not exist, and hwich tries to, but fails to ridicule Christians- however, little does the one making hte ‘argument’ realize how silly their ‘argument’ is:

They said “So your God is incapable of doing anything He wants?”

Had they bothered to actually investigate their silly ‘argument’ further, instead orf puffing htemselves up as though they had stumbled upon some brilliant argument against Christianity, they would have discovered how amateurish their ‘arguement’ really was- note the following:

[[The topic of omnipotence (the ability of God to do anything, i.e., God is all-powerful) is frequently cited by atheists as proof that the God of the Bible cannot exist. The claim has been made that if there is anything that God cannot do, then God cannot be omnipotent and, therefore, does not exist.]]

[[The word “omnipotent” is never used in the Bible, but has been inferred primarily by one of God’s Hebrew titles, “Shadday,” which is most often translated “almighty.”1 However, the Bible never claims that God can do all things. In fact, the Bible makes a point that there are things that God cannot do. The Bible says that God cannot commit sin.2 God cannot lie.3 Therefore, biblical omnipotence does not mean that God can do all things. God cannot do anything that is contrary to His holy character. However, God can do anything that He determines to do. This is a true meaning of omnipotence - the ability to do anything that one sets out to do.]]

[[Some of the arguments against omnipotence are plain silly and stupid. Can God create a spherical triangle? Saying that omnipotence requires the ability to do logically impossible things is stupid. God cannot turn truth into a lie. If humans define a triangle as a two dimensional object formed by the intersection of three lines, it makes no sense to ask if God could make one that was spherical. When one says that God is all-powerful, one means that God is able to accomplish all that He desires to do. Even an all-powerful being cannot do what is impossible by definition. God can do many things that are humanly impossible. However, there are some things that even an all-powerful being cannot do.

Can God create a rock He cannot lift? Since an all-powerful being will always be able to accomplish whatever He sets out to do, it is impossible for an all-powerful being to fail. The above atheistic argument is arguing that since God is all-powerful He can do anything - even fail. This is like saying that since God is all-powerful He can be not all-powerful. Obviously, this is absurd. An all-powerful being cannot fail. Therefore, God can create a rock of tremendous size, but, since He is all-powerful, He will always be able to lift it. The ability to fail is not a part of omnipotence. The Bible makes it clear that God is able to do anything He wants to, and that nothing He wants to do is too difficult for Him to accomplish.4 This is the true meaning of omnipotence.

Could God think of a time when He was not omnipotent? If He can’t think of it, He isn’t omnipotent, but if He does think of it then there was a time when He wasn’t omnipotent? This question is quite similar to the rock question above. The answer, of course, is that God can never think of a time when He wasn’t omnipotent. God has always been omnipotent. His inability to contradict His divine character does not mean that He isn’t omnipotent.]]

[[The atheist distorts the biblical definition of omnipotence in order to “prove” that God cannot exist. Contrary to their claims, omnipotence does not include the ability to do things that are, by definition, impossible. Neither does omnipotence include the ability to fail. By defining omnipotence as requiring one to have the ability to fail, atheists have defined omnipotence as being impossible. Of course, an omnipotent God would never fail.

These kinds of arguments are clearly illogical and even silly, although they are commonly used by inexperienced atheists. Most intelligent atheists have dropped these kinds of arguments long ago.]] http://www.godandscience.org/apologetics/rock.html

I am totally amazed by the hateful attitude of the *Christians* lately, and the way they constantly *pile-on* those who have a different view. You all would do well to remember the demands of Our God when He tells us how we are to treat others. You’re not being very good stewards in showing His loving nature and His forgiving attitude.

to you- You have a different view of how to fight the enemy- that’s fine- Noone is being ‘hateful’- exposing hypocrisy, intentional deceit, and constant maligning of Christians is NOT being hateful- Christians do NOT have to simply cower in fear when assaulted simply because we are Christians- When assaulted, we ARE allowed to defend ourselves- and yes, even vigorously against htose whos only intention is to malign and ridicule those who try to bring hte truth. We do NOT have to be doormats to these people- The spirit listeth where it will, and htose slated to become Christians WILL become Christians as they were predestined to be- those who will NOT accept Christ and are NOT predestined to become Christians do NOT have cart blanc rights to trample over those of us who do present hte truth-

But thanks for weighing in and ‘chastizing’ people of Christ for all to see-

But evos get a free pass because they don’t have a belief system which puts moral demands on them? (at the very least the evos which make no claim to being Christians). Or only the atheist evos?

I would presume that your comment applies to all those evos who claim Christians as well, including those, for example, whose posting history might for the last couple years consist almost completely of mocking, ridiculing, and generally disparaging Christians who disagree with him?

[[Exactly the point I was making to the now banned poster!]]

You’re welcome- sick and tired of people posting false claims like he did when it’s obvious they either really have no idea what they are spewing, or they do, and simply want to deceive others. There is another site which more expertly describes this exact point- Omnipotent does NOT mean ‘capable of everything’, so their false acusation about there being ‘no God’ because God can’t do certain things falls flat on it’s face and simply makes them look quite silly- but apparently they don’t care because they keep bringing it up again in new threads as though perhaps we might have forgotten how we defeated their argument in the past- not so!

Somehow I don’t think so- His comment I’m sure was meant to ‘chastize’ those who are Christians, but have a different battle plan than he does- apparently, pacifism is the only acceptable battle plan to some. Noone will ever be lost by anythign we do! Not one single person will end up in hell because of anythign we do, but even htough we are presenting coutnerevidences and coutnerarguments FAR more graciously than we get in return, apparently, we need a ‘good scolding’ when we expose the evil being perpetrated against us? Exposaing the FACT that there are those people here whos only intention is to remain blind, and try to make sure that others do as well via ridiculing and mocking those who try to bring hte TRUTH.

There perhaps may be a time for pacifism, however, there is also a time to call to arms those of strength when it becoems apparent that the enemy is parading around in sheeps clothing intentionally trying to deceive others.
