Scalia: You need 4 votes for Obama eligibility case
WND ^ | 3-10-09 | Bob Unruh

A lawyer lobbying the U.S. Justice Department and the U.S. Supreme Court for a review of Barack Obama's qualifications to be president says a key conservative justice has hinted that another conservative justice has been voting against hearing the dispute. According to Orly Taitz, a California attorney working through her Defend Our Freedoms Foundation on several cases challenging Obama, said she was presented with an opportunity to ask a question of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia yesterday. The issue of Obama's eligibility has been raised before the Supreme Court at least four times already but has yet to be given a single hearing. Cases have been brought by Taitz, Philip Berg, Cort Wrotnowski and Leo Donofrio.

To me, Scalia and Thomas appear to be the firmest constitutionalsts.

Read the Unruh article before you spittle something else, n00b ... Scalia stated ‘need to get a fourth’ justice onboard.

No, that’s not what Scalia said. Scalia merely stated a Supreme Court procedural fact. He never said there were three justices, or even one justice, in support of this petition. But please continue spewing trash, Mr. Internet Tough Guy.

Alito

Roberts initiated the meeting with obama and Alito was missing. I don't recall any comments from Alito concerning obama.

I call BS on her story. She states, "I gave him the books to sign and asked, 'Tell me what to do, what can I do, those soldiers [her plaintiffs] can be court-martialed for asking a legitimate question, who is the president, is he legitimate.' He said, 'Bring the case, I'll hear it, I don't know about others.'"

I can't imagine a US Supreme Court Justice dispensing legal advice advice to a potential plaintiff at his book signing. He has to know that this very act would be used against him as a conflict of interest. Furthermore what type of lawyer would publicize this info knowing at the very least it could be used as grounds for recusal. To believe her story is to believe Scalia to be an incompetent justice who decides which cases to hear from customers at a book signing.

This thing is unraveling faster than anyone ever expected, including me. I knew this guy was going to be a complete incompetent, dangerously so, but didn’t believe it would come out in the first month or even 90 days. Within 6 months he will be universally reviled. My guess is you know Bambi will be leaving the WH when Biden has a sudden relapse and has to leave the VP because of health reasons. The only dim out there who has the slightest credibility is perhaps Bayh. He will be installed and Bambi will be out in 60 days thereafter. I have no way of knowing this other than my gut. Bambi doesn’t like the job. He is lazy, incompetent, a total narcissist who will not be happy when 90 percent of the population hates him. 57 percent on PMSNBC are already rating him an F. He is going to freak and will be forced from office by the shadowdy hand that really runs things. The only thing standing in their way is Biden. He is unfit to lead or wash the White House toilets, a complete and total bufoon that makes Bambi look like a natural born leader. Bambi will be out by November of 2009.
