The attorney for an Iraqi journalist who threw shoes at then-President George W. Bush says his client has been sentenced to three years in prison for assaulting a foreign leader.

...

Al-Zeidi says his action was a "natural response to the occupation" and shouted "long live Iraq" when the verdict was read.

Throwing a shoe is a privelage, and of course a curse in the hands of a free man. This man would love saddam’s jails, he protests against them.

Say the “p” word if you will. but the fact of the matter is that if this “stain” of disrespectfull human behavior was allowed to simply and pecefully be in prison.

Now, Here’s “MY” question, May a personage of evan my doltic and supposed idiotic self, do “ANYTHING” against “ANY” leader of “ANY” nation, and still be only “imprisoned” for only 3 years?

We are so screwed if we subscribe to a moral equallization that bassically declares that one life is worth more than any other, and even more screwed if any nation belives that there should be a privaledged class based mostly upon non a reconcilliation based upon non truths.

I’m tired of being taxed, I feel as a slave, and yet as my ancestors never were slave owners, so far as I know, I like the fact that I get to at least speak my mind. Obama is one of the most Ill equiped, Unresponsible, and unresponsive, community organizer/state non voter/ federal appeaser/non stand up guy/ presidential hopefull/ filled with far more hope than the Cape of Hope/ and filled with as much change as one could eaisily get at a bus stop. (Providing You Have A Dollar)

My disdain for this current administration as well as the leadership of both houses, knows no bounds, I reject anti capitalism, and I reject socialism, and I’m quite sure that I will remain unemployed for some time.

Zero would be too slow and stupid to duck if they did.
He would only duck if his teleprompter told him to.

Good.

And I bet he got 1 million times lighter than the guy who just threw a shoe at Achmahesanut.

He should get probation.

It was a protest, not a physical threat.

After he gets out, he’ll probably have a job waiting for him at ABC, CNN, MSNBC, etc

It was a protest, not a physical threat.

Actually it was a physical attack on the president.

That being said I think 3 years jail is extreme.

....but not as extreme as what would have happen to him if that shoe would have been thrown at Saddam.
