Could Obama Be Just Too Awsome?
Pajamas Media ^ | 3/13/09 | Frank J. Fleming

Posted on 03/13/2009 6:01:24 AM PDT by gridlock

It’s unfashionable right now to worry about things. The dark ages of being ruled by a thuggish tyrant are now behind America. By electing Barack Obama (the pinnacle of perfect manhood) our leader, we have entered a new era of enlightenment and declared to the universe that we are no longer feuding beasts. Soon Obama’s extremely targeted and precise stimulus plan will have us overflowing with riches, and his wisdom in all things will bring peace to this world. Then all the troubles we now have will be but fables to scare children with.

Despite all this, though, I still worry. Could Obama have a flaw? Could he be, in fact, too awesome?

(snip)

...To them, meeting Obama must be like encountering Jesus riding a dinosaur — both reassuring and intimidating at the same time. It’s natural they’ll be confused.

(snip)

So this is what we’re up against. We may have entered a new era, but much of the world is still Obamaless and mired in the fear and mistrust of pre-Obama times. It will be up to us to help assure the world that Obama’s hope and change is for them as well. They need to know that if Obama’s actions seem stupid or insulting to them, it’s only because they are not yet able to understand his splendor. We must remember that while Obama’s brilliant radiance may fill us with awe, it could actually hurt the eyes of those unused to such light.

Our basic problem is that Obama is so awsomely awsome, his awsomeness is beyond our poor powers of human understanding.

I think Fleming has a point...

Thanks to public schools and liberal private schools many are too DUMB to understand how Obama is destroying our country and way of life.

You are applying measures that are used to evaluate the less awesome. Obama is so awesomely awesome that looking at his record is simply irrelevant. Besides, 95% of his accomplishments were no doubt never recorded because people could simply not believe their own eyes...

I'm having a hard time determining of this is satire or sarcasm. IMO, the is nothing “awesome” or messianic about the Obamoron - he is a certifiable idiot with smooth delivery (when he has a teleprompter and/or an ear bud) and soothing words that hypnotize morons who are clueless to what he is and what he does.

I nearly wrecked my car this morning when I heard a sound bite on the radio of the Obamoron saying that he has always believed in the free market and that the current economy is not in bad shape. This comes on the heels of his massive spending bills and declarations that this is the worst economy since the Great Depression.

It can't be both, so was he lying when he said it was the worst economy since the Great Depression? Or is he lying now when he says that things aren't so bad??

I guess either way, it doesn't really matter. His lips were flapping and we know that whenever he flaps his gums, he's lying!!

A few months ago Rob Long had essentially the same idea in his National Review column, "The Long View".

It was a hypothetical satire piece of Chris Matthews interviewing some other liberal and the question posited was "Is Obama too wonderful to be President?"

He was lying both times.

He was lying when he was talking down the economy because he was trying to buffalo the Congress into passing Porkulus and Omnipork.

He is lying now when he is talking up the economy because he has to trick people into thinking that Porkulus and Omnipork are actually working.

It's like the story about the Three Greatest Baseball Umpires of All Time who were being interviewed as they were inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

The Great Umpire said, "I call them as I see them".
The Greater Umpire said, "I call them as they are".
The Greatest Umpire said, "They ain't nothing until I call them".

I’m fairly sure this is satire, but it’s hard to top the MSM in their adoration of all things Obama.
