Democratic National Committee: Statement on Gov Palin's Decision to Reject Stimulus Funds
PR Newswire ^ | 3/19/09

WASHINGTON, March 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Please find, below, the statement of Democratic National Committee communications director Brad Woodhouse on Governor Sarah Palin's decision to reject over $500 million in federal funds due the state of Alaska under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act:

"After soliciting and accepting more federal dollars per capita than any other governor in the union, Sarah Palin's decision today to deny the state of Alaska over half a billion dollars in recovery and reinvestment funds - including millions for schools, energy and public safety - appears to be nothing more than political posturing. At a time when her state is suffering, Alaska's working families cannot afford a governor that puts her political future ahead of the needs of the state and its families."

The Swamp has a much more fair assessment of what she did and mentions the other (handful) of GOP governors..

Mrs. Palin is very deft with a political cape knife.

She has the Dims nervous, and with good reason.

I agree, which is why all the people here who keep saying Sanford/Palin 2012 distress me.... however Sanford/Crist or vis-versa would concern me even more.

When is the news not news? When you have to pay to get it noticed.

Check the source for this "news:" PRNewswire, the ultimate media whoring outfit. They'll publish anything for you if you have the bucks.

In other words, since this is not legitimate "news," the DNC had to resort to paying to spread their propaganda.

If it's from PR Newswire, it may be an idle curiosity, but it is most certainly not "news."

It's kinda interesting... I've noticed most of the stuff put out by PR Newswire comes from the RATS. Maybe PR Newswire is a front for the DNC or Soros.

Oh, and FWIW, releases from PR Newswire DO NOT need to be excerpted.

And putting out a press release criticising the work of the Alaskan governor is not political posturing?

The DNC is pathetic and transparent in their attempt to discredit Palin at every opportunity.

They must be scared s***less of her.

“Suffering”?!

Her state is doing the best of any state in the Union, thanks to her leadership. You want a suffering state, how about Kalifornia?

And one more thing. Notice how they had NO SUCH PRESS STATEMENTS FOR JINDAL, PERRY, OR SANFORD, even though they also rejected Stimulus funding. Their real fear is Sarah Palin. She’s the real threat to their socialist utopia.

OK SO WHERE IS THAT IDIOT MICHAEL STEELE’S STATEMENT DENOUNCING THAT UGLY SOCIALIST DNC BITCH?

Now, now... don't be hasty. Michael is busy reaching across the isle and selling conservatives down the drain while begging them for contributions. He can't come to the phone right now...

It’s almost laughable, except that it’s so sad.

To be shouted from the rooftops!

What does TOTUS stand for? I gather its not too complimentary to the big 0 but, having seen it in a few places, wondered what it actually meant.

This from a party that refuses to allow a single barrel of oil to be extracted from ANWR. Alaska would be the Saudi Arabia of America were it not for the drilling restrictions. Half a billion dollars...chicken feed in oil dollars.
