The parents of an 8-year-old boy who died from Hodgkin's lymphoma were indicted Wednesday on charges they denied him medical treatment.
Willie Robinson, who collapsed at his home on March 22, 2008, had begged his parents to take him to see a doctor but was rejected, prosecutors said.
While the boy suffered, his parents, who claimed they didn't have much money, paid $87 to have a pit bull treated for fleas, investigators said.
"They never once took him to a doctor," said Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason. "It just is not right. This kid should be alive today."

I have no words...
Perfect examples of PETA priorities being enacted in real life.
Evil.
If this really was about money...why couldn’t they just sign over the kid to the state? Once he’s a ward of the state, the state is responsible for his medical bills.
There’s something else going on here.
Despicable...
You really think this horrible incident, is PETA related?
Does this mean that we older folk can suit every state senator and congressmen who votes to reform health care that will ultimately result in the denial of much needed medical aide to the elderly who suffer from terminal diseases? Doesn’t this amount to the same thing really?
How much you want to bet that the Corruptocrats and the MSM will use this poor abused kid as a poster child for “OMG we need nationalized health care NOW!!!!111!!!!!!”?
Well...why are we upset? It was just a boy! Kids don’t matter. Our president wants them killed at taxpayer expense no less so why are we worried?
One less kid means Pelosi will sooner see the end of this financial crisis, right?
Come on everybody, buck up, the dog is just fine!
(Do I really need a sarcasm tag here?)
There is a special place in HELL for those parents.....and a special place in HEAVEN for that child.
Most folks wouldn't subscribe to cruelty to animals, but we won't worship them, or think that the earth would be better off without people, etc.
A lot of these groups are just Progressive fronts, ways to create sympathy or fear in folks for political agendas.
If these people had more care for their dog than their child...that's NOT normal, that's broken, twisted...but what were these folks thinking?
GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR TO THE MAX
STRING EM UP . . . WELLLLL . . . SOMETHING EMPHATICALLY PUNISHING.
Lock ‘em up, inject them with whopping loads of the HIV virus, and then ignore them when they beg for medical care. And make sure there are plenty of fleas infesting the mattresses in their cage, to help them remember why they’re there (no point putting up a life-size picture of their son, because they obviously wouldn’t care).
There was indeed “something else” going on here. Previous renditions of this story have included the information that marijuana was another thing they had plenty of money for. Plus the mother’s sister offered to take the boy to a doctor, when she saw his condition, but the parents refused (that’s when the sister called social services, leading to the prosecution of the parents, but it was too late to save the boy).

Could it be that the parents just aren’t smart and really did think the kid would get better without doctors?
Just wait till we get national healthcare.
Then there will be 'No money'.
I agree it’s broken and twisted, but to relate it to PETA, I think, is quite a stretch.
