Now Obama has insulted French President Sarkozy!

Oh no! Obama sent a letter to Chirac, saying he looks forward to working with him the next four years. Le Figaro, French newspaper is horrified at the faux pas. Doesn't Obama ever consult his staff before acting? Sarkozy is the President there! It's like Sarko writing to George Bush and saying he looks forward to working with him. Chirac is the FORMER president.
Here is a translation of the letter in Le Figaro:

Barack Obama does not seem to know that in May 2007, French voters elected Nicolas Sarkozy to the French presidency, to succeed Jacques Chirac who had been president for twelve years.
Yesterday, we told you Sarkozy is irritated because Mister O. refuses to tell him if he will accept to meet him personally in the next few months.
Strangely, we have just learnt this surprising piece of news :
Barack Obama wrote a letter to Jacques Chirac to tell him about his desire to "work with him" for the next four years ! In a letter described by Chirac as "very nice," Obama wrote, "I am certain that we will be able to work together, in the coming four years, in a spirit of peace and friendship to build a safer world." The use of the word "peace" was taken to be an indirect reference to Chirac's stance against the US intervention in Iraq, which Obama had also opposed.
This revelation was made by the online edition of the daily Le Figaro on Thursday.

So, if I understand well, Mister O., who has already despised Gordon Brown, behaving with him as if he did not know he is Prime Minister of Britain, does not even know the name of the French president.
I wonder if someone had told him, when he came to France last summer, that the man he met was NOT Jacques Chirac !

You can't make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear. Now I know there are a whole slew of protocol people, what the h*ll are they doing? Anything? Gaffes like these should never happen unless the guy is off his teleprompter at a press conference. Protocol Gifts, letters to foreign leaders, etc. Where are the protocol people, his secretary, anybody double checking him?
0bama needs to be put on a short leash at this point. Somebody needs to take him aside and teach him some level of State Decorum. All this running around doing interviews and playing with the media needs to be reigned in. There is serious work to do and it has 0bama's name all over it.

Malfeasance
Ineptitude
Dereliction of Duty
Economic Terrorism
Making treaties without consent of Congress
If you believe that Obama does not meet the constitutional requirements to be POTUS that opens up another huge can of worms.
Obama needs to go, we can not afford 4 years of his policies let alone 4 months.

Look at his international accomplishments so far: The man who said the world will love us if he got elected has created more dislike for us in 50 days than we have had since our departure from the Mother country. The British, The French, the Israelis, of course Iran thinks he is a fool; and Chavez has called him an "ignoramus," and China won't buy our bonds,despite Hillary's pleadings because Obama has ruined the economy. I am sure the rest of the world leaders are meeting and laughing their heads off that Americans have been so stupid as to put this unskilled, untrained, inept, tactless, and unaccomplished self-promoting street urchin in charge.

Before everyone gets too excited, I read the article from Le Figaro, and the way they are reporting it, it does not appear that Obama thinks Chirac is the current president of France. They are reporting that Obama wrote Chirac a nice letter, hoping that the Americans will be able to work well with the French over the next fours years. This would be similar to Sarkozy writing a nice letter to W, and it would not imply that Sarkozy thinks W is still president. That is how I read the article anyway. Before flaming me for ‘defending Obama,’ I am not a fan of Obama, I did not vote for him, and I think his fiscal decisions so far have been terrible, I’m just trying to be objective here. If it turns out that I am wrong, and Obama really is stupid enough not to know Sarkozy is now President of France, I will fall down on my knees and weep openly for America.
Face it, the country elected somebody who lives in a dream world. Obama’s grandiosity knows no bounds.
