Jon Stewart is just playing to his crowd. This move will save Rush a lot of money.

Rush was just saying that he only goes there now when hurricanes threaten his home in FL ... he left there in 1997. Jon Stewart is a joke. I hope he takes his studio to Texas. It's closer for him anyway.

Somebody tell these morons that with modern technology he could go almost anywhere, even to a small town. Even investing millions for new facilities would save him tons.
Funny thing is that any future tax shortfall will have to be made up from those dumb enough to stay in NYC.

Many have left the tri-state area for tax reasons. Many more professionals can’t even visit NYC for a DAY without being liable for extreme TAXES.

How much dough do you figure the Giants and Jets players save in income tax by having their stadium across the river?
If you get traded from the Nets to the Knicks, must cost something like 5% of your contract in added taxes. Sheesh.

Many more professionals cant even visit NYC for a DAY without being liable for extreme TAXESMy husband and I went to Niagra Falls, must have been about four years ago, and stayed the night on the New York side. We ate at Denny's that night (shared a 1/2 sandwich and soup combo) and each got a coke and it was $26.00 - without tip!!
And don't even get me going on the price of a pack of cigarettes!

The wards of Gov. Paterson’s New York state won’t be rejoicing when they don’t receive all that $$$$$$$$ tax revenue from Rush! ;-)

Rush will be beaming in EIB behind the Tax Curtain like we beamed Radio Free Europe behind the Iron Curtain. And Liberals will try to jam it with the so called fairness doctrine.

And to think that back when it had Craig Kilborn, the Daily Show was actually somewhat entertaining.
Now it's "news" for the left side of the bell curve.

My question is why don’t the financial giants do the same thing? NY taxes them to death, why not just take your business elsewhere. It’s not like the have to operate out of NY.
I read of FR a while back how financial centers have moved over the years. Sweden, London and now NY. Seems like a good time to move on.

As the streams of producers leave NY, the state and the city of New York will be bankrupt - I’m looking forward to it.
