The only real difference is that Carter slowly worked his destructive ways. Carter also had a demoralized Republican party which showed little resistance, and it took the entire 4 years for the public to say "Enough!"

Obama is moving at a much faster pace. This may be because he realizes he needs to get his plans accomplished before 2010, or it may be (a depressing thought) that he has lots more plans that we haven't yet discovered.

I have been thinking about this a lot lately. We need to remain calm and focused. As we can see, they have a plan of throwing up so many things so quickly that our resistance becomes divided and ineffective.

I am not an experienced strategist, but it seems to me that the Republicans need to choose 3 big things (such as Reagan did) and focus all of our attention on those. I would suggest choosing the three things which cannot be reversed when Obama leaves office. Taxes can be lowered again, spending can be cut back, guidelines on the environment and education can be redone.

Here are the 3 things I think we need to stand firm on, no matter what: 1. A strong military. Weakening the military leaves us prey to terrorist attacks, foreign policy blunders, and perhaps even a military action by China or Russia. Lives would be lost, and our nation weakened for a very long time. We should push on all efforts to defund the military and undermine military effectiveness through interference by legalisms. 2. Support for allies and keeping our word. We cannot allow Obama to abrograte treaties, dodge commitments previous administrations have made, or drastically reduce support for countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Israel. If he gets away with that, no country will ever believe our word. 3. Interference in the census and elections. The democrats only hold power because they run large cities like robber barons, and completely control the election process, switching states from Republican to Democrat by inflated and fraudulent vote numbers in the cities. (Chicago controls Illinois, even though down state is mostly Republican.) We must, at every opportunity, resist the White House efforts to control the census and thus reapportionment, and we must have an effective counter to ACORN and their thuggish tactics. If we fail in this, we will always be the minority, because the democrats will have control of voting for the forseeable future.

Sorry to have taken so much time, but I am really worried we are going to be foundering around when 2010 comes, and that is our ONLY chance to stop some of this stuff.

Thank you. We’re waiting for these shows to get going here and it’s nice to learn what to look for.

The bow is of no importance only because it’s zero doing it. Had it been a Republican, all hell would have broken loose.

As we’ve already seen, the Democrats plan on giving Obama a pass on anything he does, with the express intent of getting him reelected and preserving his so-called legacy as the messiah coming to save America.

We got McCain because the Media and Mike Huckabee made sure we had the WORST CANDIDATE EVER.

Don’t forget Charlie Crist’s role in the ascension (um) of McChurian the Worthless.

Reposting the last part of previous post because (ugh) I forgot to format:

I was looking for this. My dish went out - as it does frequently - but is now back on briefly. It sure is dark outside.

Krugman has declared that the hostage problem is really a nothing problem. Most shipping gets where it is going.

Guess I’m making a mountain out of a molehill. I’ve been looking at the hostage problem all wrong. It’s just the cost of doing business.

Morning and Happy Easter to all.

I wonder if the Somali Pirates have agreed to take tarp funds yet?

Listening to Juan Williams and that Mara thing defend Biden the Liar and tell us that Mandingo is being “thoughtful and deliberate” in his handling of the pirate hostage standoff was all I could take of the Sunday apologists today.

“Thoughtful and deliberate!” LOL. What happened to the steel mettle up his butt.... Oh, wait. That was Biden the Great Big Idiot Liar’s spew.

'We got McCain because the Media and Mike Huckabee made sure we had the WORST CANDIDATE EVER.'

I would add Mitt to that as well.

I have not heard any of the chatting heads even mention the French and how they handled their sailboat hijacking yet by the somali pirates. Guess that's just not newsworthy.

Of these, interference with elections and the census seems most important. I also think the judicial selections have to be fought as much as possible when someone really far left is nominated. The courts can be a long term problem, as we’ve found out.

Educating voters seems to be the number one activity grass roots activists need to concentrate on. Rush, Hannity and others are doing good work on that but the rest of us can do more as time goes on. Just a thought.

“Former SEAL: Taking-out pirates holding American captain “not an operational problem”
Fox News Live | 4/12/09

Posted on Sunday, April 12, 2009 9:10:30 AM by pabianice

Fox just interviewed off screen a former SEAL regarding why the Somali pirates are being allowed to take the kidnapped US merchant captain to Somalia. In his words, ‘this is not an operational issue.’ In other words, Obama is ordering that no action be taken until he can get permission from the ‘international community.’ The SEAL noted that they have been training for just this situation since 1981.

Meanwhile, the French rescue their people.”

So we could have saved that Captain, but Barky can’t make up his mind.

Krugman is a big talker, as long as it's sailors and not journalists who are not taken hostage. Hey, most press releases from the Obama administration and the DNC get published as is anyway, don't they? I'll take Krugman seriously on this topic when he produces a letter of reference from some Merchant Marine Captain, or his DD214. In the meantime, he's a lowlife armchair jerk.

Politicians are like somali terrorists. They will keep demanding(and getting) ransoms until someone has the guts to say no and back it up.

At least no on on our side has sided with them as they bust every budget known to man. They will pay a heavy price in 2010.

We got McCain not only by default but by chicanery and trickery here in Fla. by our metro inspired supposed Govt Charlie the crist.

He conspired with McCain, and the Miami Cubans to throw their weight toward McCain. It got him Fla. which ended up getting the mcgeezer the nod with a little help from the huckster blocking mitt all the way.

The con backfired for Metro Crist since he did not get the VP slot but it wasn't the first time McCain lied and won't be the last.

I do hope McCain loses his reelection in AZ. The last I saw, he had some primary opponents getting ready to run.
