Omaha Nebraska Tea Party After Action Report Pictures Included

Thousands of patriots crowded into the the Douglas County Courthouse plaza this afternoon to "Say It Loud We're Mad and We're Proud". The mood was festive but tempered by serious frustrations with profligate government spending, illegal immigration, a Byzantine tax code and a headlong rush to socialism by the Bush and Obama administrations. The photos speak volumes about the event. I love the smell of freedom in the afternoon.

TOPICS: Government; News/Current Events; US: Nebraska
KEYWORDS: aar; bho44; omaha; taxday; teaparty

across the street from the plaza

a sample of some primo signage

it was standing room only

A DU troll was in attendance. He was politely treated but largely ignored by the crowd--the sign says " Restore Tax Fairness Double Taxes on the Rich

Lots of really bored law enforcement--the radical right wing that make this country work are law abiding--note the press trucks in the background--We got some press--still unclear if it was accurate press

Patrick Henry comes back after 200 years. During his speech someone in the crowd yelled "How do you do this without a Teleprompter?" He replied "I'm saying what I believe"

Because this was not an Obama inauguration crowd the plaza was clean after the event

Love the last comment...

We had several thousand in Olympia, WA.

There were several thousands in Olympia, WA - right on the steps of the Legislative building.

The TEA parties are a solid start. But we, the people, have to follow up by having “Push Back Until” events later this year, early next year, and for as long as we have to: http://pushbackuntil.com.

It will not be easy, but how interested are we in saving our country from an irresponsible Congress? If we, the people, do nothing, our country is finished.

“Be in D.C. to Push Back Until!”

I have not done that, but... I do not believe you can upload images to the websites. Instead, you have to upload them to a server to which you have uploading access. You then provide a link to that image on that server, but I believe you cannot provide a simple link - you have to put the actual HTML code in your post. It would be something like Maybe someone else on FR can help.

What you needed to do was take out the "[IMG] and [IMG]" part of the HTML code.

Nice pictures!!!

I can actually spot myself in the third picture. This was a patriotic crowd.
