A Lexicon of Disappointment [Obots are starting to see that he is not going to save the world...]
The Nation ^ | April 15, 2009 | Naomi Klein

All is not well in Obamafanland. It's not clear exactly what accounts for the change of mood. Maybe it was the rancid smell emanating from Treasury's latest bank bailout. Or the news that the president's chief economic adviser, Larry Summers, earned millions from the very Wall Street banks and hedge funds he is protecting from reregulation now. Or perhaps it began earlier, with Obama's silence during Israel's Gaza attack.

But I just read on msnbc.com that Chavez told 0: “I want to be your friend.”
I’m thinking that this is the real 0 mission. Global buddy plan, no matter the cost to the U.S.

Shaking hands wand talking with “leaders” such as the ones from Venezuela and Iran sounds good in the abstract. But, the truth is, interacting with these men only serves to buffet the oppression of those countries people. It just feels icky to watch President Obama engage in such activity...like watching someone shake hands with Charles manson.

He speaks of ‘engaging’ the people of Iran or the people of Cuba. No one really has troubles with this concept. However, the leadership of Iran and Cuba have absolutely nothing to do with the people in those countries. The leaders are killers, oppressors...cruel.

I just wonder if President Obama understands that as he gives ‘cool hand-shakes and acts like he’s so ‘sophisticated’ and ‘open minded’ to the ways of the world, he makes the world darker for the ones who suffer under dicatorship.

Political scientist Sam Gindin wrote recently that the labor movement can do more than protect the status quo. It can demand, for instance, that shuttered auto plants be converted into green-future factories, capable of producing mass-transit vehicles and technology for a renewable energy system. “Being realistic means taking hope out of speeches,” he wrote, “and putting it in the hands of workers.”

Which brings me to the final entry in the lexicon.
Hoperoots. Sample sentence: “It’s time to stop waiting for hope to be handed down, and start pushing it up, from the hoperoots”

And when the author comes down from her acid trip...

Wow, this is a pretty big admission from Naomi Klein that Obama’s legions of lib morons are beginning to turn on him after only three months in office.

This article is very insightful on a number of different levels. It has been my “hope” since 0 was elected that the left would hold him to his word which will inevitably produce an over reach. The fact that you're starting to hear rumblings at The Nation is indicative that this angst is real. Obama knows that he can't swing the country any further left than he has without producing a backlash but I'm convinced that just like a child in a candy store, he can't help himself. The true tests will be socialized medicine and cap and trade. These two issues will bury him because at that point he'll have to go into the pockets of the middle class.

Doesn’t matter one iota. He doesn’t need to save the world in order to satsfy them. He’s seizing control of all power and that’s what really matters to them. Whatever “slight” “problems” remain, they’ll blame on Bush and Cheny or rightwing extremists or you name it. They’ll rally behind him because “at least he’s doing something.”

They won’t ever, ever, ever turn on him. Even if they did, it wouldn’t matter.

The only thing that can save us is if the “center” that swooned for him and elected him turns on him in time for the 2010 elections.

I’m not sure that will be enough. obama is seizing power from Congress on a daily basis, so he doesn’t really need them anymore. All authority will soon be centralized in the WH. We’re in a revolution here. I think obama’s plan is to move so quickly that Americans won’t know what’s hitting them and by the time they do it will be too late.

Sadly, I think I agree with your estimation—that’s why, lame as McCain was/is, I was all for him—compared to this guy. Many of his supporters might be clueless white-guilt libtards who will wake up and see they’ve been played—but many of his other supporters aren’t “looking to save things” in this country—they want to destroy it.

BO’s their man-and now that he’s in, it’s going to be hard to unseat him—he doesn’t play nice-nelly like the Bush clan, dithering around with their thumbs up their keisters as the vermin carve them up and grab power from their hands while they “reach across the aisle”

No. More like:
A Lexicon of Disappointment for Moonbats

Bunch of Moonbat Hope-kooks.
They need 'Universal Health Care' just for the Psychiatric costs.

If Barry wants 'Shovel Ready Projects' he should concentrate on Insane Asylums.
His followers will fill them on day one.

Maybe, maybe not; but, one thing's for certain.
Your theory sure explains the unspoken context of the recent report out of Napoleon's HSA.

The drift that I got is not that they are coming to their senses as we would define it but as a leftie would see it. They are disappointed that he can’t deliver us into communist hell in the first five minutes. They need another fix which will require that someone even more absurd than Obama come forth. Maybe Jeremiah the bullfrog himself could get them excited again. These people never use more than one braincell at a time.
