Just remember that cap and trade is a CO2 tax pure and simple. It will be the biggest gas (fuel) tax we've seen, it will be the biggest coal tax, it will prevent new coal plants being opened and will cause some to have to shut down. It means your electric bill will double and the cost to transport goods, fly on airplanes, fill up your car etc will become very expensive and all this money will go to Washington DC.

Well, yes. Unless we are going to go 100% nuclear, which I wish we would, it is a tax and its going to be paid by ordinary rate payers, which is to say, ordinary Americans.

And it has the additional attraction of being another form of money laundering, and the beneficiaries will be the oligarchs in suits. For them its a money machine.
