A furious President Barack Obama ordered an internal review of Monday's low-flying photo op over the Statue of Liberty.
CBS 2 HD has discovered the feds will have plenty to question.
Federal officials knew that sending two fighter jets and Air Force One to buzz ground zero and Lady Liberty might set off nightmarish fears of a 9/11 replay, but they still ordered the photo-op kept secret from the public.
In a memo obtained by CBS 2 HD the Federal Aviation Administration's James Johnston said the agency was aware of "the possibility of public concern regarding DOD (Department of Defense) aircraft flying at low altitudes" in an around New York City. But they demanded total secrecy from the NYPD, the Secret Service, the FBI and even the mayor's office and threatened federal sanctions if the secret got out.

I am not a pilot, but I play one on tv. Seriously, a flight like this required LOTS of preplanning and LOTS of people involved. You cannot take a cessna up without lots of paperwork and such. What really bugs me is the fact that this was done. Who in the world wouldn’t know that this would absolutely freak the New Yorkers out. This admin is a combination of incompetence and out right evil. It’s just hard to tell when either is at play.
Also, do not count on the media getting to the bottom of this issue. obambi will make a pronouncement and it will be so. Same ol Same ol.

People, PLEASE. What's more important? Sane day-to-day actions and a healthy in tact psyche for millions of New Yorkers, or elaborate photo ops and constant 2012 campaign prep?

This was a test. 0bama wanted to see if it would get any reaction and would use that in saying the country is safe now that he is in charge. NOT!

I have a hard time believing that with the current pair of VC-25’S, having been in service since 1990, they have never taken the opportunity of shooting them over lower Manhattan and S.O.L. before now.
I talked to my brother who is a pilot and has quite a few opinions concerning the FAA none of them very good.
He told me he believes that it never would have occurred to the FAA to tell local authorities to keep the flyover a secret .That they are so absorbed in there own self importance that worrying about the little people is not something their minds are capable of.
