Maybe...maybe not.... My point....will we react like this in the event of an actual bio-terrorism attack? Will we be lulled into complacency that causes million to die?
Well lets hope not. the day (if this ever happens) our streets are filled with millinons of dead bodys because of a real deadly virus you can bet that i will “pi$$” in my pants too :-) but it´s just not happening right now. if you watch the media in this days you could think like this is the first time something like a virus is going around in our world. many people seem to forget that there are people dying every where around because of the “regular” flu (and other more lethal) viruses. but nobody seems to care about this. so now we have another flu virus we can add to the long list of Flu strains which allready exist (and kill)
Ok thats life. but this does not mean the sky is falling. just for example the flu killed about 38.000 americans last year. now you have one dead because of the bad bad swine flu (and possible some more to follow just like the other flue virues will not stop to kill people as they do every day). where was the panic leaving the house last year? because this deadly flu Virus was around every where (like it is now). 38.000 americans lost their live because of that. the difference is the media did not cared because it was just buisness as usuall. same will happen to the swine flu if they are getting tired writing panic reports. Maybe the flu will get me some day. ok then it happens. i have a good chance to hit one of the other allready existing flu viruses too and have to spend one or 2 weeks in bed and take meds. both can kill me. (but again very unlikely to happen).

Thanks gal. I just heard this on the radio a few minutes ago. All UIL events have been postponed for the time being as well.
I also got the picture in reply #13 in my email a few minutes ago. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Nine cases of probable swine flu have been tracked by the Illinois Department of Public Health so far, five of them in Chicago, including a 12-year-old girl whose case prompted today’s closing of Kilmer Elementary School on Chicago’s North Side.
Illinois Public Health Director Damon Arnold said all nine cases are “mild.” But city health officials said the girl at Kilmer has been hospitalized, though they indicated her condition appears to be improving

Just ducking the TAKS tests. If they do better than our district because they got more time to prepare or some info on the tests, time to call out the lawyers.
