If Mitt Romney is in, I'm out!
Declaration of Independence | April 30, 2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/30/2009 11:50:51 AM PDT by Jim Robinson

Yeah, I know. Said some similar things about Bush in 2000. But at least he was pro-life, pro-family, etc, and thank God we supported him over the idiot All Green Gore.

Said similar things about McCain in 2008. But when asked the question "when does human life begin?," and he unabashedly stated, "At conception, of course," I had to take notice. Then when he announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, I decided to support her. I voted for Sarah (and the white haired old geezer that came along with the package).

But Romney is a NO go. And I don't care who this socialist, abortionist, homosexualist, constitution trampling bastard picks for running mate. If Romney's in I'm out!

G.O.P., R.I.P!

Restornu, it’s not about feelings and hearts. It’s about ideas and principles. Analyzing and rejecting Romney’s ideas and principles are no reflection at all on feelings or hearts.

She “took on” one of the worst RINO’s for a running mate? That right there shows she won’t be my future candidate.

If you are talking about McCain, then that's just stupid! She had no control over the Republican nomination, but she sure made the ticket a hell of a lot more conservative than a Libermann would have. She gave conservatives a voice and something to look forward to in 2012. Without her to show that the conservative base still had heart, where would we be?

You don't have a future candidate. With logic like yours, Ronald Reagan could resurect and you'ld find a problem with him.

I can't tell you how many folks in the East view her as a moron, and didn't vote for McCain because of her

I have ZERO interest in voters in the northeast. We are not going to win in that part of the country, short of a landslide, it only weakens the GOP to try to appeal to them, or those on the Left coast.

“Mittwits tirelessly defend this guy, but they can’t defend what was done to Fred and Sarah by their fellow Mittwits.”

When Palin came into the scene Romney was long gone.. these accusations are absurd. The attacks on Palin came from McCain staffers who wanted to save their careers by scapegoating her for their defeat.

I like Palin but don’t count on her to run in 2012 yet. It will be Romney vs a plethora of burned out senators looking for their last moment in the spotlight before fading into retirement. The next four years look grim. The younger generation will wait for 2016.

I’ll support Romney again but I’m not sure that he can beat Obambi. Many people might need to go through the experience of living though a socialist regime before they can tell right from wrong. Romney is not the enemy.

****

Anger and contempt is emotional and feeling ruled by hate!

Romney has principals is one of the top business consultant if he had no vision he would not been able to solve problems for major corportation.

If this country voters had vision they would not have nominated two who lack vision.

Romney told the auto folks last year to do chapter 11 and regroup.

Now they still have to go through bankruptcy now with Obama strings.

The whole things was stupid it was build around saving the union and café standards instead of cars people want and profits.

If they would have done the right thing way back when Romney suggested to, they would have by now on the road to return and those out of work would be called back!

It is so true one having contempt for another so out of proportion that they curse another hoping make themselves feel better figuring the best way to eliminate is to annihilate just shows how short sited one can be.

This kind of spirit will not attract the goodness we need to restore our constitution.

Engaging in such hate only is enabling the dark side to continue to rule this nation!

“I also recall Rush saying Romney didn’t have one of the pillars..”

Your memory is failing you.

Btw, Rush was again heaping words of praise on Romney the other day and Mclame is NOT the only alternative anymore.

Yep, I distinctly remember hearing that conservatives have "have had their foot on the GOP's neck for too long".

You are right, Howlin had a nasty way of posting, got her a long time suspension. Her membership is active, but she hasn't posted since then.

You are so messed up in how you write off to "hate" a lot of reasonable objections to Romney, and you simultaneously set yourself up as the perpetual victim of "hatred" when someone strongly disagrees with you on your choice of candidate. If you consider a single word in any post I've ever written regarding Romney as "hateful," then there's no talking to you at all; you are beyond sense and reason, kind of like a child on a crying tantrum.

Really, restornu, you are representative of the typical Romney mindset, and you are evidence of really why it is that Romney is such a bad item -- the behavior of his supporters speaks volumes about him.

Yeah, right, Barnacle, when you say Rush was "heaping praise on Romney" I can pretty well assume that you're stretching the truth, to put it mildly. You have flat-out LIED on Free Republic many times with regard to Rush's opinion of Romney.

Lurkers, beware -- Barnacle Centurion has a longstanding record of totally misrepresenting Rush's words regarding Romney. He LIES. If you want proof, let me know -- I've got enough postinigs in the past to demonstrate the blatant falsehoods that Barnacle has posted regarding Rush's take on Romney.

The RINO Party Alert.

Just say no to liberals, turncoats, and traitors!

We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals of our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the party over to the so-called moderates wouldn't make any sense at all.

I think Romney is a MINO (Mormon in Name Only). Does he stand for any of the Conservative moral principles of their religion?

That doesn’t seem to matter much (Harry Reid). Romney is “active” (attends church) and is a Temple Recommend holder (highest degree of adherence to Mormon doctrine and practice) which only about 25% of members ever attain.

I hate Romney because he is not a CONSERVATIVE, I do not TRUST Romney because he is Mormon. I know too much.

Last I checked, Romney was pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Liberty, pro-Constitutuion, pro-free enterprise and pro-America.

ROFL. Sure maybe TODAY (and I am not even sure about that), but give it a few weeks. The wind will blow and his positions will change.

You are too hard on yourself! I don’t like Mitt either, but that being said, better him than Zero in office.
Every man must stand for something, and you stand for a LOT, which in my book makes you one hellava man! Never apologize for that!

Thanks Jim!

I am considering running for Congress first, on a platform calling for a flat income tax and the elimination of all business taxes, a freeze on all non-defense spending, securing American borders and repatriation of illegal aliens, a phased privatization of Social Security and Medicare, a gradual transfer of federal authority back to the states, and the re-establishment of a monetary standard of value. How far do you think I’d get?

I would back a candidate like that, gladly.
