Unlike Romney's "National Council for a New America," Free Republic is a conservative site!

Romney: a pro-abortion Morman.
What is so hard for some to understand?

They are the ‘conservative’ future unless someone else steps up and gets some EXPOSURE

there, I post it again just as you posted it....

and you still never read it.....at least the part about how someone needs to step up or that is what we have....so you..or someone you want in...NEED TO STEP UP...and not at the last minute in 2012, we need leadership NOW.

"Who is a traitor? "Liberal "maverick" socialists disguised as Republicans that "reach across the isle" and borrow a knife to stab conservatives in the back..."

"Our domestic enemies are far more dangerous to our liberty than our foreign enemies ever will be."

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."

It’s gratifying to see someone with clout take swipes at Pretty Boy Mitt. Just the mention of his name nauseates me.

Rather weak on other social values that Mormons are supposed to be strong on, too. I could not disagree more with Mormon theology, but certainly see no fundamental reason why the Mormon church couldn’t produce a good social conservative (Romney ain’t it, though).

nhwingut (lying RomneyBOT): "Palin voted for Romney. That must make her a MITTEN."

THE REAL DEAL:

"When the GOP held its Alaska caucus on Feb. 5, Palin didn’t bother to endorse a candidate,
despite personal appeals from Huckabee and Mitt Romney, her fellow social conservatives."

“Alaska Governor Sarah Palin did not give an endorsement to any candidates in the race,
though a spokeswoman for Palin said “she’d like to support McCain” but cannot because of his stance
on drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, according to the Anchorage Daily News.
Rival Romney received the endorsement of Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski this past weekend."

CONCLUSION: Is there even one (1) RomneyBOT who posts truth?

I don’t mean to be harsh. Understand that a vote for Palin was a vote for McCain. You can’t hide on a political board. I voted for McCain knowing Palin was on the ticket. That’s all.

Thank you, Jim. I'm a bit mystified as to why there seems to be some confusion about this issue.

Having reared five teenagers, it's pretty clear to me that it's either the "you wouldn't DARE!" or the "Just try and make me!" syndrome that the mittbots don't seem to have outgrown.

If Sarah Palin is so tone deaf that she chooses that charlatan as a VP, her credibility as a conservative should be seriously questioned.

I would still vote for Palin against Obama if she picked Mitt as her VP just like I would have voted for Reagan/Schweiker in '76 had Reagan gotten the nomination.

I would prefer that the pick Jindel or somebody else.

“Why should the Republican Party have to “reach out” to “moderates” and “broaden their appeal?””

I’ll probably get in trouble for saying this, but hell, Im in a get in trouble sort of mood today, so..

What possible value can ‘moderates’ have at this time? Anyone who can’t bring themselves to pick a side now is as useless as some moron who believes he’d be safe squatting in no man’s land during a fire fight.

Although I agree with your sentiments, or I wouldn’t be here, I would like to make a couple of points.

1. “Traditional family values “ or, as sometimes stated, “social issues” are essential for a stable and productive society but they can not and really should not be the function of the government .... especially the Federal Government. These issues are best left to the churches and communities.

2. I think sometimes we extend stated rights to issues not addressed in the constitution (like the passengers bill of rights) and therefore dilute and cheapen then. I would not consider corruption free government, and some others as rights. They are indeed necessary for effective government and an orderly society but are things that we should strive for.

I voted for Romney in the primary, wish there had been a better choice, and voted for McCain (and contributed to his campaign) in the general election .... again wish there had been a better choice.

I have been here much longer than my sign up date indicates and have found this forum informative and entertaining, I believe we are engaged in a great struggle for our country, I wish to be part of that struggle and will stay here until you decide it is time for me to leave or I no longer find it effective and fun.

Arlen Specter reminds me of Howard on the Andy Griffith show...and I don’t know why.
