Sick of that into theme song on Hannity (vanity)

Posted on 05/05/2009 12:12:00 PM PDT by Scythian

I'm not sure about you guys and I'll get reamed for this vanity but I'm so sick of that "Independence Day" themesong that Hannity uses, at this point it just makes me turn his show off.

And I don't get it "Roll the stone away, let the guilty pay, it's independence day" ???? What does that mean exactly? When the stone was rolled away, the guilty most certainly didn't pay, an innocent Christ paid for the guilty, I just don't like that song at all.

Okay, a petty vanity, but sickened by this intro song to the point of being unable to listen ...

That’s why they make chocolate AND vanilla. Or both kinds- country AND western!

I sing along with it.

;^)

Here’s a song for Hannity’s intro
;)

Dedicated to all the Tea Party Organizers and fellow Patriots

Enemy Number One

They’re calling us Right Wing Extremists
And they mock us on TV
‘Cause we’re united to defend our Constitution
And fight against tyranny
We are proud, God-fearing Americans who cling to our faith and our guns
So now they have the feds all watching us
Like we’re enemy number one...

Up ‘til now I always thought our vets were real Patriots
Who loved our country....with all their hearts
They proudly wore the uniform, they fought and died on foreign shores
When liberty called them to do their part.

Now the Department of Homeland Security
Has sounded the alarm
Calling our vets a bigger threat than the terrorists
Who want to do us harm

They’re calling us Right Wing Extremists
And they mock us on TV
Cause we’re united to defend our Constitution
And fight against tyranny
We are proud, God-fearing conservatives who cling to our faith and our guns
So now they have the feds all watching us
Like we’re enemy number one...

We tend to be pro-life all the way, we’re not ashamed to bow our heads to pray
The first amendment gives us the right to speak our minds
We don’t like how our money’s spent by politicians who seem bent
On controlling everything in our lives.

They’re even calling us rednecks and racists
‘Cause we don’t like the policies
Of our Nation’s first black president
In our great history.

They’re calling us Right Wing Extremists
And they mock us on TV
‘Cause we’re united to defend our Constitution
And fight against tyranny
We are proud, God-fearing daughters and sons who cling to our faith and our guns
So now they have the feds all watching us
Like we’re enemy number one...

Through our faith in God, who we still trust
America was born
But freedom lost is forever gone
Our founding fathers warned.

They’re calling us Right Wing Extremists
And they mock us on TV
‘Cause we’re united to defend our Constitution
And fight against tyranny
We are proud, God-fearing Patriots who cling to our faith and our guns
So now they have the feds all watching us
Like we’re enemy number one...

Yes now they have the feds all watching us
Like we’re enemy number one...

Yes now they have the feds all watching us
Like we’re enemy number one...

Wow, I’m just listening now, this is incredible, I really like this, maybe Hannity will get rid of that wuss song and use this (not likely). I like this but wish she sang it with more angst kind of like guns and roses would, but nonetheless thanks !!

Blaring, screaming mega dittos. That song sucks rocks.

Hannity’s taste in music is pretty horrible. Even the country he likes is lame.

The translation bit is too slow and the music is irritating. He could keep it if he sped it up, and lost the lame music. Just play the clips with the captions. We don’t need 10 minutes to read two words.

Hannity reminds me of a bratty little brother than runs around bugging you repeating the same stuff over and over. Worse than the song is his intro montage of lefties mentioning his name. His biggest schtick seems to be to get dumb liberals on then talk over them. Rarely do I listen anymore.

Glad you could enjoy it. I’ll let Lisa know maybe she can add a little Guns’ and Roses flavor for the next one.

Hate or Love him, Savage has great bumper music.

From what I understand, Clear channel has also given her a morning show in Milwaukee, WI. She rocks.

Some of her ‘rants’ are as well thought out and logical as any by Rush.

The song is horrible but the worse part about Hannity is that he is hurting the Republican Party big time by energizing the dems. I have heard leading democrats say that the mention of Sean Hannity’s name is the best fund raiser they’ve got. He is a jerk plain and simple and he is a terrible American in my opinion.

Damn! Good move gatorhead. I’d have more respect for a woman with the strength to make a bad decision on her own to leave me than one that blamed it on others’ influence over her.

I once took a girlfriend back who showed up in the middle of the night drunk and horny. I regretted it two wasted years later.

I agree, that “your a great American” thing is a pathetic. It may have been cool once, for one day, but should have never been a regular part of his act. Propagandist certainly applies.

I had thought it was “throw the stone away” as in “the millstone around your neck.”

That segment is a definite low point of the show.

Still, it’s better than the opening segment of Laura Ingraham’s aborted Fox News show. It tried to treat the political headlines of the day using comedy, but she and her crew have no sense of humor at all. To say the segment was consistently flat and unfunny doesn’t say enough.
