Who Wrote Dreams and Why It Matters (Dreams From My Father)

Great article.

Fans (fanatics) of Bob Dylan’s last two or three albums discussed how he had seeingly “borrowed” lines and phrases from extant works for some of his songs. Of course, they can do this because they read books as well as listen to music and they can think with their brains and they can muster some degree of objectivity.

Jack Cashill makes a persuasive if not conclusive argument that Barak Obama is a counterfeit man as well as a Manchurian Marxist.

Assuming Cashill's conclusion is correct, Obama's 1995 autobiography, Dreams from My Father, was ghostwritten by William Ayres, other questions are prodded back into life. Why would William Ayers put all the work into writing such a memoir for an unknown who had not money to pay him? William Ayers himself describes his assessment of Obama:

It was about this time that Bill Ayers entered the picture. "I met [Obama] sometime in the mid-1990s." he would later tell Salon. "And everyone who knew him thought that he was politically ambitious. For the first two years, I thought, his ambition is so huge that he wants to be mayor of Chicago."

Significantly, Ayers is reporting here both his own assessment of Obama in 1995 and Obama's reputation. Everyone thought that Obama was "politically ambitious" and Ayers thought that his "ambition was so huge...." As a matter of evidential persuasiveness, the law regards opinion evidence of reputation to be more probative than the witness' own opinion. Here both agree. Unfortunately, the article does not tell us how Ayers modified his judgment of Obama's great ambition after the first two years; did he revise it upwards or downwards? It seems inconceivable that he would have revised downwards in view of subsequent history. Therefore, at least in William Ayres' judgment, in Barak Obama we are dealing with an ego of very great ambition.

I can conceive of no good reason for a murderous revolutionary like William Ayres to involve himself with someone like Obama unless there was something about Obama that captivated Ayers.

So the first principle I draw from this account is that Obama is a counterfeit. The second thing that strikes me is that he is "ambitious." Neither of these assessments rest on the facts marshaled by Jack Cahill in this article alone. Obama's biography from birth certificate to campaign promises to governance demonstrates that he is counterfeit. That he is ambitious cannot be denied and I have always been struck by the solemn warning granted America by his wife before the election to the effect that if Obama gains political power, things will never be the same.

Ambition alone, of course, is common among politicians and perhaps an ingredient in the psyche of great men. Winston Churchill was notoriously ambitious: "we are all worms but I do believe that I am a glow worm." But so was Hitler as well and Napoleon. Hitler's ambition led to Holocaust and carpet chewing. Churchill's ambition was always attached very firmly to a sense of British fair play and decency. To what if anything does Obama attach his ambition?

I believe it is a very pernicious doctrine, an admixture of the raw cynicism of Saul Alinsky which has always been camouflaged and disguised by posturings as a moderate, and a passive aggressive chip on Obama's shoulder. This unhappy soup is mixed up and conflated with overcompensation for feelings of inadequacy and rationalizations for his failures by reverse racism.

What failures, you ask? Where are his grades? Where are his writings? Yes, you say, but he was made head of the Harvard Law Review. Yes he was made titular head of the Harvard Law Review for the same reason that he was made Illinois state senator, Sen. from Illinois, and president of the United States because he is, in the words of vice president Joe Biden, "a clean and articulate" African-American. He has no great academic gifts. Barack Obama has never learned how to write, as the author of this piece avers, but he has learned how to deliver a set piece speech. As an ambitious man of ego has observed of himself, "I have a gift."

He thinks the gift is to deliver a speech but the real gift is how to manipulate Whitey. By virtue of his exposure to manipulation as a teacher of a Saul Alinsky affiliated school, Obama was ready to manipulate the gullible liberals of Harvard law school and law review. Starting with William Ayres, he has been enabled up the ladder by gullible liberals ever since. Here is part of a reply I posted yesterday trying to describe how Obama does it:

As a rigid ideologue Obama should not be nuanced or supple but he is because that is a key component of his ideology. He was a teacher in one of the offshoots of the Alinsky school where he mastered the art. The best analogy I can think of to illustrate how this works is to recall the golden age of kumbaya and psycho babble of the 1970s when est swept the nation. The movement was brilliantly lampooned in the movie North Dallas 40 and particularly the leader of the est movement was exposed as the vapid but sinister manipulator he was.

These people, whether they are narcissists or sociopaths, whether they are religious nuts like Jim Jones or politicians like Bill Clinton, are nimble, persuasive, utterly without conscience, and dangerous. They instinctively know how to manipulate their audience because they know where all the buttons are.

Let such a personality exploit the mind control of est with the ruthlessness of Saul Alinsky and blind the audience because of the actor's race, and you have a very successful a demagogue.

I see nothing in Obama's character that levens his ambition with the good as we see in Churchill's character. To the contrary, I see a resentment born out of racism, a political philosophy which is nothing more than a rationalization to play God, and a well tuned passive aggressive model of compensation.

Sadly, I see nothing on the horizon which suggests that the country will listen to the little boy who observes what he sees, Obama "has no clothes."

Not so odd.

Stanley Dunham pimped his underage daughter out to Frank Marshall Davis partly because he was a scumbag and partly for obscure internal reasons. When she got pregnant, a black "father" had to be discovered ASAP since the baby was coming in a hurry. The sap from Kenya filled the bill, he married her because he was in an extremely vulnerable position if he didn't, and when he found out the truth (he must have suspected it, and I'm sure Barry does, too), he split to Harvard.

To me, this all makes perfect sense. Obama did not write his books, does not write his speeches which is why whenever he has to speak ‘off the cuff’ or whenever his teleprompter messes up, he stumbles and is nearly incoherent. In short, Obama is merely a puppet, nothing but an actor on the stage spouting lines written for him. This also explains the White House press—carefully scripted sessions in which he can spout more lines in controlled situations.

I find myself wondering if Ayers is writing his speeches for him, emailed to Obama’s blackberry, that little electronic device he refused to give up. I’m guessing that Obama’s handlers figure that if Obama is in front of the people often enough, that we won’t notice that all these sessions are controlled such that he does not have to answer questions for which he is not ready.

I’m convinced that he’s little more than somebody’s puppet, and I also think that Ayers is still in the game.

One more thing—Cheney made Obama look like the ineffectual handpuppet that he is. I do want Cheney to run for the presidency so that I can have the privilege of voting for him, and because our country desperately needs him.

I think the uncertainty of his own paternity is at the root of this character. (I'm not a psychiatrist but I deal with a lot of crazy people :-) ).

The whole book (Dreams, I mean) deals with this subject is an obtuse way. Who was he? What was he? What does it mean I am?

Coming from a really, REALLY sick family background, shuffled from pillar to post, a mother who lusted after dark men (even her son?), a grandfather who did drugs with a pedophile communist (did he pimp his own daughter to stay close to Frank?) - how could he not be a mess?

But since he is clearly a high-achieving mess, he must have that one crystalline secret inside - hard, like a diamond - to keep him going.

Hatred of America and the wish to destroy her, to revenge himself on his whiteness and his oceanic mother and to justify the man who raped her - would fill the bill nicely.

Churchill described Hitler in the opening pages of The Gathering Storm as: (from memory) "a maniac a ferocious genius, the embodiment of the most virulent hatreds that ever corroded the human breast-corporal Hitler."

If Obama is possessed of half the demons which you describe and with which I largely agree, the internal tension within the man must be centrifugal and ready to break out at any time. Yet by all accounts he is cool under every circumstance. Either our armchair psychoanalysis is faulty or Obama is headed for an explosion.

Hitler's demons drove him at the end to fits and literally chewing the carpet. Like Hitler in the early days, Obama has experienced no serious frustration in obtaining his political will. We will have to see.

Once you're President, then you can fool enough of them to pass the most radical, left wing ideologies and schemes this country has ever seen.

Will we wake up from our collective slumber for having elected a "black" man as President before he has thoroughly trashed all aspects of American life and culture or is it too late and the damage is done?

I always change the title of that book to ETHICS OF MY FATHER. Which would be about how the Odinga clan's leadership is brought about by the Obama clan's bloody unscrupulous fighting for them. Civil war in Kenya to bring about the present day dictatorship. It's in the blood or more accurately it is in Barack Huesin’s memory bank. Right next to RULES FOR RADICALS.
Barack looks calm because he thinks he is in charge of our enslavement.

What kind of law school lets students enter with criminal minds to kill the United States Constitution and leave with the same mind set? And now we find him in a position to appoint an empathetic lawyer to the SCOTUS.

There were stories before the election, during the meeting with Bush and McCain on the financial crisis, that ZerO had a tantrum, but, I never heard more about it. Cover up or fiction?

The only talent DumbO seems to have is to read a teleprompter, and, his side to side reading is to distracting to believe what he is saying.
