So, you think that because one poster on FR comments that a diabetic supreme court nominee might not live to a ripe old age that all 350,000 of us are insensitive right-wing loons?
Got news for you pal. The owner of Free Republic (namely me) is diabetic and I've already lost one leg due to this despicable disease and the other leg looks like it's ready to fall off any day now. My sister died of complications brought on by juvenile diabetes at the tender age 43. I've out-lived her in years, but I don't think I'll be signing on to any life term judgeships. And I sure as hell wouldn't wish this disease on anyone else.
Hey, what can I say. My political enemies make fun of the one-legged old gimp every day of the week. Good thing I'm not as sensitive as you about such nonsensical non-issues.
And if it's impossible for a minority to be racist, then it's impossible for a diabetic to be insensitive. /sarc

You are a hero to all of us here at FR. You have actually DONE SOMETHING, as opposed to just talking. As they say, talk is cheap (and BOR’s is now worth less than nothing). I knew when he started gushing about the Zero after his interview with him, that he had defintely moved to the dark side. And being a Catholic, I won’t even go into him calling himself one.

Speaking as another diabetic clinging to my God and my guns, I’d like to join with you in wishing Bill O’Reilly a short trip to the hot place.
Free Republic is one of the toughest rooms on the internet. If a position can’t withstand scrutiny, the writer will be informed of his errors in clear language with facts and figures. Maybe nicely, maybe not. This is a place to develop positions and master the reasoning behind a conclusion. As such, the thinking on Free Republic often demonstrates the most carefully considered positions in the world. We have to defend our positions and explain our conclusions. O’Reilly makes a living on makeup and talking points. Neither of those things convey substance as well as actual substance.
O’Reilly’s commentary is vapid. Given the clear choice between right and wrong, O’Reilly is unable to defend the obvious when the conversation goes off script. I defy him to take a membership here, post his beliefs, and explain himself. He might learn how to take a position and defend it, but I think he’ll run, screaming, back to the green room with his comb over standing up in spikes.
Just imagine what a great newsman O’Blowhard would be if he were actually knowledgeable about something...anything...

I agree. BOR will one day support our views, the next cater to Obama with the hope that someday, somewhere the left will honor him with their presence on his program.
One day he seems to have the values of America at heart - after all, he wrote Cultural Warrior. Then, he pulls a John McCain and bows to the man destroying America.
If he wants to curry favor with the enemy - then he is not with us. As we need all the fighters we can muster to save America from an Obama and utter evil left wing people robbing America of her wealth from the top levels of government.
