Episcopal Church fires 61 priests and deacons in the Central Valley.

Part of the reason, is they followed former Bishop John David Schofield when he rebuked the national church for its stance on the ordination of gays into the priesthood.

The 61 clergy had six months to deny or recant their stance against...

Our daughter used to go to a Lutheran church with her grandmother that was cheery and vibrant. She went back recently with her husband to learn it’s become a gay church and was like a funeral home with but a few attendees, and an usher who claimed, “But I’m straight.”

Yes I have noticed it, especially in the churches. I remember all the kerfluffle last year over the “rise of the Christian left”. The “Christian left” is nothing more than the same fifth column infiltration of the last bastion, the church, that they have so successfully used in academia and media. Now they’re working on diluting and weakening the church from within. I only hope fundamentalism holds the line, but the so-called “young fundamentalists” are making me very uneasy. This is how it begins.

It turns out that the Bishop who tried to do this, "Bishop" Lamb of San Joaquin, was not legally elected to be the bishop because the assembly that "elected" him did not have a quorum. And so his attack on these clerics has no authority.

Since they are thus still in good standing in the diocese, TEC by their own rules cannot convene a quorum without at least seven of these 61 attending. Fat chance of that happening.

The homosexuals may be on the march, but it doesn't mean they're smart.

Damn...since when did the Lutheran go queer? Now that is a shock! I know some Lutherans!

The ELCA has a group of homosexual-friendly churches called "Reconciling in Christ" (RIC) churches. They also will be meeting in August this year in a churchwide assembly, which will approve sexually active homosexual preachers and let each church decide for itself about celebrating homosexual marriage. The outcome of the vote on this set of resolutions is a done deal, because the headquarters of the ELCA (in Chicago, no less) is a haven for homosexual activists and lobbbyists.

The wheels are coming off.

For there have been some intruders, who long ago were designated for this condemnation, godless persons, who pervert the grace of our God into licentiousness and who deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

That is so serious! Those guys are in it for a living; that’s their career; that’s their livelihood. I’ll bet they can sue over it. Hope they do.

Independent Fundamental Baptist. Google it.

When you absolutely, positively have had enough of “winging” doctrine, and endeavor to return to good ole fashion fundamentals of Christianity.

The queers can come in and learn the Bible (we’ll teach anyone with a heart to learn for free), but they cannot be members w/o repentence. Period. End of story.

Praise the Lord I left the Episcopal Church, and started to learn the Bible for myself.

whaddya think the episcopalians are? It’s the church of england in america...but they can’t call themselves that because we fought a war of independence and won...so they had to change their name.

That’s fine...but you didn’t finish. Add to the end of your church name...”OF NEW ENGLAND NON CATHOLICS THAT ISN’T THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND FOR NOW CHURCH”

So much for coincidence...I truly was just thinking about John David Schofield 5 seconds before this article appeared. Love that man, he is the best.

Isaiah 5:20

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

They need to start their own denomination

Actually, in the Anglican way, they have (from the article): "followed former Bishop John David Schofield when he rebuked the national church for its stance on Gays* and then aligned his church with the Anglican Church of the Southern Cone."

This group is a part of the newly forming US denomination, the Anglican Church of North America. This denomination is allied with and in communion with Anglican Christians all over the world (mostly in Africa) who are thoroughly orthodox and conservative.

This group, mameluksabre, by the way is NOT at all politically liberal (since they are theologically conservative...) nor is it particularly rich, or lily-white either--but is rather a mix of evangelical, charismatic and traditional types. Your post was either confused or uninformed on this topic.

I’ll bet they can sue over it. Hope they do.

Actually, they can't really and they wouldn't anyway--following the commands of St. Paul in 1 Cor 6:1-11, that Christians should not sue other Christians.

However, every one of them is being sued BY The Episcopal Church--which all over the country is attempting to take all these congregations' Church properties from them. These ex-Episcopalians deserve our highest respect and support--as they are willing to leave it all to be obedient to Christ.

TEC has repeatedly in the last several years paid NO ATTENTION to its own internal rules when pursuing the vindictive witch hunt to destroy the orthodox and faithful. Anyone who follows this—just according to all the ethical & internal rule violations—will realize these are not the actions of persons who are Christians at all.

I’m convinced that if it were possible, Episcopal Church officials, and their gay nazi friends would follow their spiritual ancestors of 450 years ago and burn their opponents at the stake.
