OBAMA IS LIKE DISCO
5/30/09 | Mikmur

It just occured to me that Obama is nothing more than disco was to music. Alot of people just loved it, couldn't get enough of it. Thought it was the greatest music ever. Loved to get out and dance....and then couldn't wait to burn the records...had parties and rallys where disco music was impugned and records burned. Flash in the pan music...unfortunately just like disco he will have some type of lasting effect...let's hope it is minor like disco

Reminds me of the old Bloom County cartoon that had the "special" cartoon lamenting the official 10 year anniversary of the death of disco music....but no one really missed it.

Obama is also headed for the ash bin of history...the sooner, the better.

Disco wouldn’t get us killed or bankrupt, as Barry is on track to do.

Watching the Obama video where he was at a burger joint yesterday learning about a new intelligence dept he didn’t know existed, he is the most un-presidential president ever. I am not talking about his ignorance and stupidity, but the way he conducts himself. How can anybody take him seriously.. it just boggles the mind.

The problem is, as much as anybody Works Hard for the Money, we’re just barely Stayin’ Alive.

Except I can pretty much guarantee you there’ll never be a Obama Demolition Night at The Cell.

If only! I think it was easier to get rid of disco and it’s producers. People had only to stop buying it. But Obama’s producers will still be in business, just as they have for at least fifty years. Never think for a moment that Obama is the president, he’s only a figurehead for the communists.

Fads and fashions in politics aren't so very different from those in popular music.

In his book The Neophiliacs, Christopher Booker drew parallels between British politics in the 1960s and the popular culture of that time.

Charismatic politicians and pop idols feed collective fantasies that build and build until they eventually pop.

Of course, the rock stars and movie idols usually just fade away before their fad collapses.

We're stuck with the politicians until the bubble bursts.

The Pet Rock craze lasted for 6 months - hopefully the Obama craze will not last as long.

Well, some, repeat some of the disco music was kinda cool. That being said, none of it now is worth wasting electricity on except maybe some country.

So what you’re saying basically is that 30 years from now, the gays will still love him!
