Suspect arrested in connection with slaying of abortion provider (Child Murderer) George Tiller
The Wichita Eagle ^ | May 31, 2009 | BY STAN FINGER AND JOE RODRIGUEZ

The suspect in this morning's fatal shooting of George Tiller is in custody, according to emergency dispatchers.

Authorities have yet to release more information about the arrest. Wichita police have scheduled a 4 p.m. news conference to discuss the case.

Police had said they were looking for white male who was driving a 1990s powder blue Ford Taurus with Kansas license plate 225 BAB. The vehicle is registered to an owner in Merriam, which is in the Kansas City area.

Wichita police Capt. Brent Allred said that several law enforcement agencies -- including the FBI and the KBI -- have been called in to help with the case.

"This is going to be a larger search than probably maybe just Wichita that we're looking for this individual," Allred said. "So we've got the resources coming in to help us with this investigation."

Allred said that no one else was injured in the shooting. He would not say how many shots were fired. He said it's unclear whether the shooter exchanged any words with the victim.

"We've got several people going downtown," Allred said. "This is going to be an investigation that is going to take a little while to get some of that information out."

It’s a murder just like any other murder, no more, no less, and should be handled as such by the Wichita PD.

The fact that the deceased made his living killing babies should not make his murder any more egregious.

I’d argue that since he valued life with such disdain, that I can understand how some might take solace in the fact that he was murdered.

That would be a curious spin. If I recall, Islam does not condone abortion.

I hope so. Do we know more about the shooter?

Let’s NOT risk upsetting anyone

Uh, that's not what I'm talking about

This plays very conveniently into the hands of PP and NARAL. Tiller was getting to be a liability. Now he'll be a martyr.

Murdered in a church, in cold blood.

Can you write a better scenario for prochoice propaganda?

But that doesn’t make it right to shoot him, and I haven’t seen anyone saying that.

There definately have been people saying that on the first thread.

Let me guess: The killer gunned down Tiller in a "gun-free" zone.

Those laws work soooo well.

Kids are being shot down in Chicago daily. I don’t see any thing close to this by law enforcement to catch the perpetrators. Maybe there’s special rules for white male abortionists.

Well, the kids in Chicago are not being shot in a place with huge numbers of witnesses that can see the vehicle and license plate on the car as it drives away....

I’m not shedding a tear over the deceased. I wouldn’t shed a tear if they gave the guy who shot him the death penalty either. They haven’t executed anyone in Kansas for decades though so he’ll probably die in jail. Save the murderers kill the babies. Pro abortion, anti death penalty. An oxymoron of ‘liberal logic’.

Vengence belongs to God, not some yahoo off the street.

I couldn't agree more, God will have his say when both involved meet Him

I have not expressed any opinion on this story in any way.

My post was one of caution because of who's in office and who might be reading threads like this one. Paranoid maybe, but with what is happening in this Country as we speak would have been tinfoil hat thinking just 6 months ago

I don’t think the killer is overly concerned with being caught. Otherwise he or she would have planned it a bit better.

The actions of Republican Congressmen should be followed.

ROFL! We need to moderate so we can get the pro-abortion vote!

If I recall, Islam does not condone abortion.

That's putting it mildly.

How bizarre is it that the Vatican finds itself siding with Islamic governments (some of them radical Islamic governments) in the United Nations in the fight against a global culture of death promoted by lesbian State Department activists from the United States?

"On March 27, 2009, Tiller was found not guilty of all 19 misdemeanor charges..." According to the Wichita Eagle: " Immediately following the ruling in this criminal case, the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts made public a similar complaint against Tiller that was originally filed in December 2008."

My guess is that this second complaint wasn't allowed to be entered as evidence into the trial.

I don’t need to know more to make my assessment of him.

Radicals behave this way, we don’t, and to think otherwise openly is self-defeating.

We need to maintain our position that this helps our opposition, and therefore our opposition is more than likely responsible for this.

If he’s an ‘R’, then he must be a RINO. if he’s a “pro-lifer”, then he must be an infiltrator. I’ll never believe he’s a true pro-lifer, and neither should you.

Well, you are somewhat correct, but not for the reason you mention. In a lot of the Chicago shootings, there are plenty of witnesses, but they just don’t give a damn.
