Suspect arrested in connection with slaying of abortion provider (Child Murderer) George Tiller
The Wichita Eagle ^ | May 31, 2009 | BY STAN FINGER AND JOE RODRIGUEZ

The suspect in this morning's fatal shooting of George Tiller is in custody, according to emergency dispatchers.

Authorities have yet to release more information about the arrest. Wichita police have scheduled a 4 p.m. news conference to discuss the case.

Police had said they were looking for white male who was driving a 1990s powder blue Ford Taurus with Kansas license plate 225 BAB. The vehicle is registered to an owner in Merriam, which is in the Kansas City area.

Wichita police Capt. Brent Allred said that several law enforcement agencies -- including the FBI and the KBI -- have been called in to help with the case.

"This is going to be a larger search than probably maybe just Wichita that we're looking for this individual," Allred said. "So we've got the resources coming in to help us with this investigation."

Allred said that no one else was injured in the shooting. He would not say how many shots were fired. He said it's unclear whether the shooter exchanged any words with the victim.

"We've got several people going downtown," Allred said. "This is going to be an investigation that is going to take a little while to get some of that information out."

Yes, I agree. Perhaps I should get out my tinfoil hat, but it is odd that this murderer should himself be murdered just before an investigation is to take place. I wonder who didn’t want the gruesome info about what this man did for a living to be made public? NARAL? Planned Barrenhood?

Mabe the shooter IS sick, or dying - as in Jack Ruby.

As usual, cc, well said.
The man killed babies for a living. He is answering to God, while his killer will answer to the good people of the state of Kansas.

It would have been better for the pro-life movement if this fool offed himself. Now there will be a trial and all this opportunity for the media to paint the pro-life movement’s public image for years. I can’t believe the fools on here celebrating this.

No one is more of a fool than those afraid of the media. Afraid of the Bill O'Reillys and Geraldos of the world, and afraid of what the daily news and talk shows are going to say about the pro-lifers. We don't even know if this guy was pro-life and acting out on a mandate to punish Tiller for being an abortionist, or if he was someone settling a completely unrelated  score.  For now, we just don't know.

Infanticide is a crime that's being legitimized by the Obama administration and the left is this country. Elected officials are under the obligation to protect the lives of their nation's citizens, and in this case the lives of the most defenseless individuals in the world.  Modern day liberals instead seek to legitimize a crime of this magnitude, so is it any wonder that some of us are relieved that a child murderer has been executed?

Can you imagine making a living by inserting scissors into the back of the skull of a little baby, then sucking out the brains with a vacuum? This Tiller was a monster that would make Satan himself look like a mere schoolboy! Justice to this murderer. He sits in “church” and prays to what? I hope he rots in hell for all eternity.

What bothers me the most is that the killer has seized at least two weeks of news coverage which the democrats will use to full effect. They’ll use it to attack conservatives and they’ll use it to push their marxist agenda.

I fail to see how adding a suicide to this is in any way a good thing. People need to calm down.

What's the big deal. It's just an abortion in the 271st trimester.

I wonder how many doctors were murdered in this country in the last year for various reasons. Dozens? Hundreds?

I doubt it. There were 16,000 and some odd murders in 2007 (last year I have stats for), and .7 doctors for every 1000 people, so in theory that would give you a fair chance that 10 physicians were amongst that number. However, murder isn't spread evenly throughout the population with certain demographics, occupations, etc being much more likely to be murdered than most. I'd be willing to bet you that less doctors were slain last year than you have fingers on your left hand if any at all were slain.

I can remember when it was speculated endlessly that Eric Rudolph couldn’t have possibly been associated with any pro-life groups. Turned out that he was neck deep in more radical pro-life groups, and they continue to support him in jail to this day, host web sites for him, post his prison letters, accept donations on his behalf etc, so don’t be so quick to assume this guy is not.

Do you have a link for that? The doctors per capita numbers I'm getting through a random search comes out to a few times that proportion. Also, in theory, these individuals hold peoples lives in their hands. It would be reasonable to suspect a slight percentage increase in homicides in such a profession.

Ok, it’s obvious this guy is an anti-abortionist, not to be confused with a pro-lifer.

He’s not “pro-life”. If he was, he wouldn’t have committed murder.

The homicide rate lowers as your income goes up providing you aren’t a rapper. Doctors for the most part work in environments with plenty of security, are more likely to live in neighborhoods far removed from crimes, etc etc. I’ve searched and searched and can find very few news stories of a physician being murdered, and none current.

All the sources I’m seeing for doctors per capita is around 2.4 (per thousand). So if we (roughly of course) multiply that number ten by 3.5 (3.43) you get 35. A doctor murdered every ten days. This one is special to the msm, like I said.
