Posted on 05/31/2009 4:34:48 PM PDT by aft_lizard
July 7, Kansas: Scott Roeder is sentenced to sixteen months in state prison for parole violations following a 1996 conviction for having bomb components in his car trunk. Roeder, a sovereign citizen and tax protester, violated his parole by not filing tax returns or providing his social security number to his employer.
And I found this link(dead for now) that has Scott Roeders name in it from 2007.
Looks like he is a pro-lifer.
more news on tiller-killer here:
See? All right-wing-extremists are alike! /S
This is a reply he had at the Operation Rescue Site:
Scott Roeder Says:

Bleass everyone for attending and praying in May to bring justice to Tiller and the closing of his death camp.
Sometime soon, would it be feasible to organize as many people as possible to attend Tillers church (inside, not just outside) to have much more of a presence and possibly ask questions of the Pastor, Deacons, Elders and members while there? Doesnt seem like it would hurt anything but bring more attention to Tiller.
Is this the perp? If so... google that name.
Hmmm Member of a mililtia group....I wonder if someone paid him?
I did. This is what I am pulling up.
WHY does the ADL care about this guy?? They only care when a Jew gets dissed or yelled at.
Where do you see that he was a member of a militia??
All Pro-Lifers will raked over the coals for this lone nut case....
?? What makes you think this is the shooter?

So he’s a rogue extremist. Not a representative pro-lifer.
He deserves the death penalty if convicted.
If it's even him.
Another Sirhan Sirhan? Lee Harvey Oswald/
Wonder how long he’ll stay alive?
“Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Scott Roeder on I-35 between the two main Gardner exits around 1:30 p.m. He surrendered without incident. Deputies did not find any weapons on him.
I was trying to pull up a YouTube page and the browser conked out, but it got an interesting hit on Dogpile ... there was a comment about “watch out for Scott Roeder, he’s a con man fraud” or something like that.
I’ll try switching browsers to see if I can pull it up again.
A killer and a bad speller.
Put on your seat belts y’all, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride. This guy is set up to be “Mr. Conservative” and I bet his ex-wife, or girl friend, or next door neighbor is ready to go on “The View”.
More at 11:00.
Sirhan Sirhan is still alive. Comes up for parole every now and then.
“Looks like he is a pro-lifer.”
Sounds more like a Weather Underground member... Maybe he has some things in common with Obama...
“Well, then, get away from the fear. Don’t fear the terrorists. Theyre mothers and fathers.”
He’s NOT a “pro-lifer”.
He’s an anti-abortionist. BIG difference.
Don’t lump me in with him.
Local NBC announced the name: Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Scott Roeder on I-35 between the two main Gardner exits around 1:30 p.m. He surrendered without incident. Deputies did not find any weapons on him.
“We shut down I-35 and directed him to come back to us. He complied with our request. He was arrested and taken into custody,” Lt. Mike Phannestiel said.
According to Phannestiel, Roeder is on temporary hold for Sedgwick County at the Johnson County New Century Detention Center near Gardner. Roeder is considered a person of interest at this time.
Check out comment #9:
“WHY does the ADL care about this guy?? They only care when a Jew gets dissed or yelled at.”
They’ll probably try to call it a “hate crime” so they can get their insidious Hate Crime legislation passed.
A tax protester as well!!! Looks like those tea parties are being attended by a bunch of future killers. Any Ron Paul bumper stickers on his car?

Yeah, probably a set up just like Mark Wahlberg’s character in “Shooter.”
Could it be they just automatically went after this guy, because he’s already made himself known? I’ll wait for more info. They said he had no weapons.
"..Although Wichita police declined to name the suspect, a Johnson County sheriff identified him as Scott P. Roeder, according to the Associated Press.
Police said it appeared Roeder acted alone and that they are are investigating whether he had any connection to anti-abortion groups..."
Hes an anti-abortionist. BIG difference.
Dont lump me in with him.
Nope. Looks like he is a killer, anti-life.
That depends on who the pro-lifers spokesperson will be.
If he was acting alone, then why are they trying to associate him with “anti-abortion” groups (note they did not say pro-life) except to marginalize the groups.
You have to admit, the timing is suspect.... coming on the heals of Notre Dame and all. Just saying....
say that fast several times, it will get your tongue tired
And, he is just an example of the “bell curve” that is society. There are good and bad in every group, or under any label one could classify people as belonging to or with.
It’s good that you found out that he’s done this before. It’s not as if this is “normal” behavior for the pro-life community. But, it appears to be “normal” behavior for this individual. You would be very hard-pressed to find people who consider themselves pro-life, who would condone this man’s behavior today, or his previous crime as well.
This guy was on the edge of the above-mentioned bell curve, there are few people like that or with that risk in every group or label...
Of course, the pro-abortion crown will say we (people who believe Abortion is Murder) are ALL like this man — out-of-control, and murderous. For anyone to honestly believe that to be the truth is ridiculous.
Pro lifers will get bad press no matter what on this, but if this is the guy and he did time for bomb components and was a tax protestor, he had other issues.
Scott Roeder will be brought to justice without being able to claim a “constitutionally-protected” right to kill George Tiller.
Interesting. What I get now if I google for “Scott Roeder” is dozens of people googling for Scott Roeder.
There are numerous references to what seems to have been his single post on the Operation Rescue website.
There are also various left wingers already saying that he is a MEMBER of Operation Rescue, because of that one post. That seems doubtful to me, but likely it’s how they will spin it.
I don’t think there’s anything to stop absolutely anyone from posting on OR if they feel like it. It’s not as if it’s a Country Club where you have to be vetted and recommended by two or three members before you can join or post.
At one time liberals in KS block the death penalty. I don’t know if the state has a death penalty of not; I know IA, ND, and WV do not.
Who wrote this?
I saw that YouTube reply. On two videos. Six weeks ago.
Did you find anything else out?
