FROM L.A. SLIMES: But Warren Hern, a Colorado physician and close friend of Tiller's who said he is now "the only doctor in the world" who performs very late-term abortions, said Tiller's death was predictable.

Dr. Warren Hern's website

From this article:

Did I Violate the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban? (warning: contains graphic description)

The following is an except from an article in Slate by Dr. Warren Hern, M.D.

Earlier this year, I began an abortion on a young woman who was 17 weeks pregnant. Because of the two days of prior treatment, the amniotic membranes were visible and bulging. I ruptured the membranes and released the fluid to reduce the risk of amniotic fluid embolism. Then I inserted my forceps into the uterus and applied them to the head of the fetus, which was still alive, since fetal injection is not done at that stage of pregnancy. I closed the forceps, crushing the skull of the fetus, and withdrew the forceps. The fetus, now dead, slid out more or less intact. With the next pass of the forceps, I grasped the placenta, and it came out in one piece. Within a few seconds, I had completed my routine exploration of the uterus and sharp curettage. The blood loss would just fill a tablespoon. The patient, who was awake, hardly felt the operation. She was relieved, grateful, and safe. She wants to have children in the future.

Did I do a "partial-birth" abortion? Will John Ashcroft prosecute me? Stay tuned.

Blasphemy is a far, far, far more clearly delineated capital offense in Islam than is abortion is Christian theology.

Those who rejoice in the murder of abortionists are the same as those dancing in the streets of Gaza after the 9-11 attacks.

I’m sorry if it offends your righteousness or arrogance.

(ok, I’m not sorry)

I’m in an office of liberals with one exception. I’m sure that tomorrow I’ll be challenged about this and my response is this, “Dr. Tiller repeatedly over many years stabbed a viable infant in the skull with a sharp instrument and collapsed its skull.” Its the only answer to be made to any question or confrontation.

Doesn’t offend me at all. Murder is unacceptable.

DEATH: According to the best record based study of deaths following pregnancy and abortion, a 1997 government funded study in Finland, women who abort are approximately four times more likely to die in the following year than women who carry their pregnancies to term. In addition, women who carry to term are only half as likely to die as women who were not pregnant.(16) (Click here for more details on this important study.)

The Finland researchers found that compared to women who carried to term, women who aborted in the year prior to their deaths were 60 percent more likely to die of natural causes, seven times more likely to die of suicide, four times more likely to die of injuries related to accidents, and 14 times more likely to die from homicide. Researchers believe the higher rate of deaths related to accidents and homicide may be linked to higher rates of suicidal or risk-taking behavior.(16) (Click here for details on the latest research regarding abortion associated deaths.)

The leading causes of abortion related maternal deaths within a week of the surgery are hemorrhage, infection, embolism, anesthesia, and undiagnosed ectopic pregnancies. Legal abortion is reported as the fifth leading cause of maternal death in the United States, though in fact it is recognized that most abortion related deaths are not officially reported as such.

Long article very detailed and lots of evidence to back it up..

This is like announcing that the top Hamas leader has been killed, then announcing his replacement. Sometimes it's just not good to be #1.

You are welcome..
We have a child of 7 months, when my wife was pregnant i read every book i could get my hands on..
I was shocked when reading that a lot of complications of birth are caused by earlier abortions due to the damage done to the womb.
But no one talks about thay..

Still alive. I read this on another post, and now am haunted by this.

I did a little googling earlier and there are clinics supposedly in IIllinois that advertise 3rd term abortion so I’m not so sure he is the only one?

Hippocratic Oath (in part):

...I will not give a woman a pessary to cause an abortion...

Karma for serial, flagrant oath-breakers is *such* a beotch.

Would you feel it murder if someone were to kill the person who bragged of slaughtering 60,000 toddlers? teenagers? adults?

As an interesting twist for your thought processes, nearly every state which permits the use of lethal force in self-defense also permits the use of lethal force in the intervention of the act of a third party against a second party who is in imminent danger of being killed or dealt serious bodily harm by the third party.

None are more helpless than the victims of these 'procedures'.

I do not rejoice in any murder-- But was it murder or the defense of helpless innocents? One could make either case, depending on circumstances.

As for this abortionist's death, I know the servants of human sacrifice will use it to further their agenda somehow, and I make a practice of not rejoicing at things which further the cause of mass murder. YMMV

Murdering abortionists is the moral equivalent of murdering Theo van Gogh.

Not really. Killing 350,000 fully-formed babies is certainly worse than criticizing Islam.

“very late-term abortions”...

what... couldn’t decide in the previous 8 months?

besides, maybe Tiller was just the subject of a “very very late-term abortion”.

What was he, 62?
Add one for the pregnancy, one for the 0th year of life, and you get a “192nd trimester abortion”.

perhaps you could say, "If you think that a man who crushes babies' skulls for money is a hero, and someone who kills a man who crushes babies' skulls for money is evil incarnate, your moral compass is pointing true South"

or

"Dr. Tiller knew his killer and knew why he was being assaulted, which is more than the 1000's of babies he's slain had"

or

"President Obama boted against the BAIPA several times; by his logic, somebody who accidentally survives an attempted murder should be denied treatment and allowed to die"

Just ssayin'
