I knew my fellow Americans had taste after all.....

According to a story on Drudge, Conan's 'TONIGHT' ratings drop with every episode...

There is hope for our country....

...... Conan O'Brien's first week behind NBC's "Tonight Show" desk resulted in a strong overall ratings performance that dominated competitors and left critics generally pleased.

But after debuting to record-setting numbers Monday, “The Tonight Show” audience has shrunk with each successive episode......

But Conan keeps his politics to himself and skewers everyone.

On the other hand, Leno, Letterman and Stewart wear their insane liberalism on their sleeves on every show.

Craig Ferguson is one of the few I will watch for anything other than the musical guest (Thank God for Tivo). And actually I only watch because he has Kristen Bell on fairly regularly. But he has been pretty funny everytime I watched.

Sadly, it is possible. Conan is much worse than Letterman, who is also really crappy...

I can believe that. A friend told me today that he recently saw a bunch of 20-somethings camping out to buy $200 pairs of shoes endorsed by some (c)rap “star.” Guess the economy isn’t as bad as I thought.

He is worser than Letterman.

You're grammar is wrong. It should read: He is MORE worser than Letterman..

Amen. I haven’t cared about late-night programming since Johnny Carson left. It didn’t have the same “rat-pack” glamor after that.

I watched a few minutes strictly by accident.

Painful.

Conan’s arse-kissing has reached new depths and he is simply not funny.

I switch the channel directly after the local news at 11:30pm. I understand wanting the younger crowd but since the older folks like me (48yo) were who always watched they have went for a smaller auidence with Conan. That makes no sense at all.

Conan is funny ... if you’re a 15 year old geek.

His “joke” about Sotomayor not being racist enough for Rush made it real easy to change the channel. Same Bush jokes, same old state controlled media crap.

No wonder God didn't answer my prayers this week. He was busy screwing with a late night talker.

Conan has a better band than leno. but conan is a sorryass worthless no talent schmuck. he’s not funny. He’s extremely ugly, and his voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

He’s gonna bomb worse than arsenio or gary shandling, and even worse than pat sayjack.

“Conan is part of a ‘new’ generation. However, the new generation does not watch late-night tv.”

You nailed it. It’s been a dying format for 10 years now. I’ve been a performer on Letterman and Conan (before “the tonight show”). Conan was very, very nice, Dave was seriously a real jerk. I don’t watch Conan so I don’t know his politics but we all know Dave’s, he’s a Palin Hater.

So sad, Conan.

As for Leno, I was hoping that they would've given Leno "Meet the Press" to keep him at NBC. That would've been ... interesting.

IMO, The Tonight Show ended with Johnny.

I hardly watched Leno, but why did he quit? Was he forced out.

I watched the first night and it was beyond bad. I have watched Conan before and I used to think he was very funny. I think when these guys hit the big time that is when the become unfunny and use forced comedy.

The Obama informercial was awful. It was interesting how the audience reacted also. Not many laughs.

Conan can be entertaining but he appeals more to a 15-21 demographic. IMO removing Jay was a bad choice.
