The clinic where slain Kansas abortion provider Dr. George Tiller worked will be "permanently closed," his family's attorneys said Tuesday. Tiller. 67, performed late-term abortions at the Wichita clinic until he was gunned down by an anti-abortionist in church May 31. Lee Thompson and Dan Monnat, attorneys for Tiller's family, said in a statement that "effective immediately, Women's Health Care Services, Inc., will be permanently closed. "We are proud of the service and courage shown by our husband and father and know that women's health care needs have been met because of his dedication and service," the statement read. "That is a legacy that will never die."

His son, Maury, said the manner of his father’s death resulted in an unimaginable outpouring of love and support for the family.

But he added: “I struggle with the manner he was welcomed into heaven.”

That's one of the things that has always baffled me - how can a (supposedly) conservative, mid-western farm state allow this to occur, for so long. And how the heck did Sebelious ever get elected as Gov? California, New York, Mass., et al, I can see, but farm country?

I think I can answer that. The population in the USA is now about 85% urban. So-called "farm states" have lower (percentage wise) rural populations than so-called urban states had 30 or 40 years ago. Technology marches on, even in agriculture. Corporate farms are far more efficient and big machines replaced a lot of people. Life marches on.

This building needs to be cleansed blessed, and turned into a memorial.

From your cited article:

“The service also drew 50 motorcyclists from the American Legion Riders, who honored Tiller’s service in the Navy. Their leader, Cregg Hansen, also from Derby, said Tiller’s family asked them to be there.

“We don’t get involved in politics,” Hansen said. “We’re here 120 percent for the veterans.””

Yep we’re all brothers, us veterans, and to hell with the murdered babies.

I pray that George Tiller had a moment to repent before he met his maker.

That said, I rejoice that no more babies will be killed in his "clinic." It should be bulldozed and replaced with a shrine commemorating the slaughter of the innocents.

There’s only so much we can do. Are you saying one of us should have killed him sooner? They have abortion clinics in North Carolina too, you know.

Well, that is the nature of a political machine.
The press reported only what the Democrats wanted.
The Democrats were bought and paid for by Tiller.
If Kansans really knew what was going on there wouldn't have been a Tiller and Sebelius.

So, in a state with restrictive abortion laws and a conservative population you got a progressive governor and abortion at will.
Corruption pure and simple.

As I understand it, it is because of the liberal centers of Topeka, parts of Wichita, and Kansas City.

Not so sure about Wichita, but I'd throw Lawrence in that mix.

Here in Kansas, the media is liberally biased too, which has been very effective at shaping opinions of too many voters. Take a look at the pro-Tiller coverage since the shooting. They have made him out to be the savior of humanity... really sickening.

Even a dark cloud has a silver lining...

I don’t believe Tiller is with God though, it was not
something he believed in or else he wouldn’t have done
what he did.

Abortion is Murder.
It’s that simple.

Burn it to the ground or make it in to a baby killing memorial.

I would guess the building will be torn down. Too much conterversy to do otherwise. Not to mention the biohazard aspect.

I would rather build on a known Indian graveyard than have ANYTHING to do with this building.

It must have been something when Tiller met St. Peter at the pearlie gates trying to gain admission with all those aborted souls behind St. Peter.
