CIA Director Leon Panetta says former Vice President Dick Cheney's criticism of the Obama administration's approach to terrorism almost suggests "he's wishing that this country would be attacked again, in order to make his point."
Panetta told The New Yorker for an article in its June 22 issue that Cheney "smells some blood in the water" on the issue of national security.

Dick Cheney is an honorable man. Why is he being attacked like this? why don’t they respond to the substance of what Cheney has been saying?
And then, Hillary Clinton said that she doesn’t consider Dick Cheney a reliable source of information. Good liberals apparently can only talk to and listen to each other.

I have NO doubt that Mr. Cheney isn’t wishing for an attack on the U.S. I do know that many on the left, including Democrat politicians, relished each time an American military person was killed in Iraq. Dick Cheney isn’t going to be running for anything. He has nothing to gain personally by speaking out.

This is something that’s beyond the pale. Panetta’s accusations are despicable. This should become a major issue.
I can’t see any way that Panetta is not forced to apologize for this.
Now if we get attacked, it’s Cheney’s fault? Good grief, these people must really be insecure. They’re looking for scapegoats all over the place.

This is a poorly-disguised precursor to blaming Cheney for inviting a terrorist attack. They’ll claim that Cheney invited it by advertising the Obama administration’s “alleged” vulnerability and unpreparedness.
They’ve gone from “Bush’s Fault!” to “Cheney’s Fault!” There’s some “change.”

Not only did the libs wish we would be attacked again under Bush so they could blame him, they did everything they could to make sure our troops WERE attacked OVER AND OVER in Iraq and Afganistan because they wanted us to LOSE.
The libs are getting really nervous. 0zero’s poll numbers on the economy are dropping. The only high marks he got lately were on foreign policy, and with the Iran and N.Korea exploding, that won’t last long.
The wheels are starting to come off the 0zero Express and not even his State Run Media will be able to keep covering for him much longer.

At least Chenney is talking about it and keeping it on the radar screen. You don’t hear much about it in the press these day..
When Joe Biden makes a more direct statement on a point than Panetta does, it's clear that Panetta is an utter moron. Panetta is a petty and mean politician, to boot.
So I wonder how long it took the Democrats to think that line of smear up? David Letterman took a few days to come up with “I was talking about the older daughter” line of BS. With all the evil things the left have said over the years, if you say something counter to their way, they will smear you. So Cheney should just “shut up” and let the left attack him? He has a RIGHT to go out in public and defend himself. Set the record straight for the BS the left is feeding the sheep!!!
