It’s been the coolest year in Northern Ohio that I can remember. And, out on the lake (Erie) the last month, has been down right chilly at night.

Ain’t it funny how the so-called experts completely ignore facts and data when they don’t WORK FOR their cause.

What do you know, science isn’t always impartial and objective and accurate. Maybe they just say things for research money. Maybe the federal government shouldn’t fund scientific research.

At 11:45 PM July 4th 2009 it was 41 degrees here in North Central Pennsylvania. At 5:15 AM July 5th, 2009 it was 39 degrees.

Global Warming/Climate Change seems to have missed us.

This is the first time that I had to wear a thick sweater during ~ the day ~ on July 4. I was so tempted to turn on the heat, but the furnace read my mind.
This is also the first summer that my furnace never stopped kicking on.
The first summer I haven't opened all the windows in the house yet.
According to my garden growth, we are still in May.

This is a year of firsts.

The Marxists have caught on to all this.As a result it's no longer “global warming”...it's “climate change”.Very catchy,eh? With “climate change” *any* deviation from what's claimed to be normal (after only 50-100 years of measurements) can be chalked up to Evil Corporations.

It's funny, but there are trends and fads in science (and in management, to wit “six sigma”).

There is probably no profession in which intellectual conformity is more rigidly enforced and vehemently denied than in American “higher” education. Joseph Goebbels's Information Ministry was probably more amenable to heterodox views than the American campus.

Stupid ideas start out masquerading as provocative clever notions in the mind of some obscure chalk besotted wretch and if they find purchase in the fancy of enough of these idiot savants it becomes almost impossible to dislodge them from public discourse.

There is really no institution that consumes so many resources and produces such profoundly toxic and useless ideas and personalities as the American academy.
