The biggest event of the year in Laguna Niguel, Calif., is coming up on Saturday, but Mayor Robert Ming has a message for those planning to attend: Keep your pants on.
For 30 years, the town has played host to an affair dubbed "Moon Over Amtrak." Crowds line Camino Capistrano, a road that runs along the railroad tracks, and pass the day dropping their trousers every time a train rolls by...

In other threads it is being reported that there are some high-quality 40 year old tapes of this event.
I used to ride that train (from LA to SD) but I never saw any moons. Maybe it was the time of year (or the phase of the moon?)

There is a little hippie town in Alaska called “Ferry”. Because of a past issue with the Alaska railroad, every 4th of July they moon the Alaska RR trains. My supervisor was on it with his 2 young daughters and from his pictures they were flashing a whole lot more than butts. we are talking old nasty hippie boobs here. I told him I would have been PO’d if my kids had to watch that crap. He definately was. Bunch of friggin’ retards.
