There isn’t a “Both of the above” option? He nearly paraphrased what she said in her resignation speech, in which she complained of the expense of fighting all the ethics charges and all but said she’d be solving her financial problems by getting out of office. But we hardly needed the annoying Levi to tell us what we just heard, so he could have the thrill of getting his name in the media again.

He nearly paraphrased what she said in her resignation speech...but in a way that strongly suggested that Sarah was motivated by greed.
In light of this, I think it's hilarious that the NYDN article ended with Levi saying "everything's great now" between him and the Palins.

When Sarah is POTUS, Levi will be looking for a pardon. Let's just say, he'd better not be late on any child support payments or he might have to reconsider being a 'family man'.
(I WOULD NOT want to be in his shoes in 2012) Ole Levi might win the dumbass-of-the-century award. Then again, he could hook up with Meghan McCain, knock her up, walk out on her, and win some kind of Dem Kewpie Doll award.
