"GREENBELT, Md. -- NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, or LRO, has sent back its first images of Apollo lunar landing sites. The agency will release the images Friday, July 17, at noon and hold a teleconference at 2 p.m. EDT to discuss the photos and future plans for the LRO mission."

The mainstream media sites don't seem to be covering this, but NASA is releasing images from LRO of the Apollo landing sites at noon. We should be able to see the hardware left behind for the first time in nearly 40 years.

I bought the just released updated hd cleaned up “Criterion” blu-ray disc of “For All Mankind”. Now I find out it wasn’t the definitive version that was advertised!! I’m not too happy....

The first landing happened about 3 weeks before I was born. It will be REALLY cool to see those images! I wonder if the Flag is still up? Most likely not, but still, its going to be SO COOL!
