Obama is basically incapable of doing anything other than campaign. At no point in our nation’s history has a President appeared so frequently on national TV, done press conferences, “town halls” (the quotes are added because they’re all scripted), and so on. All he does is campaign.
It never occurs to him that if every single idea he has ever come up with meets with strong disapproval requiring him to go out and try to change people’s minds he might consider changing his thought process.
