Poll: U.S. image abroad surges under Obama Survey of 25 nations contrasts with views during Bush presidency. WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama's popularity has boosted America's image abroad even though deep suspicions about the U.S. persist in the Muslim world, according to a poll released Thursday. The survey of two dozen nations conducted this spring by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center found that positive public attitudes toward the United States have surged in many parts of the world since Obama's election. Positive opinions about the United States have returned to higher levels not seen since before President George W. Bush took office in 2001. The Bush presidency marked a steep decline in U.S. popularity overseas, notably after the 2003 invasion of Iraq, because of a perception that the post-9/11 war on terrorism was targeted at Muslims. "The image of the United States has improved markedly in most parts of the world, reflecting global confidence in Barack Obama," the center said in its annual Pew Global Attitudes Report. The only exception was Israel, where attitudes toward the U.S. have dipped since Bush left office.

Count me amoung the ones that really don’t give a rat’s butt what the rest of the world thinks of us.

I’m not too fond of them either.

Gee, just when (and how) was this poll conducted?

Assuming the media is telling the truth, there would necessarily be a lapse time of months in a worldwide poll. Most Americans were still drinking the Koolaid a couple of months ago as well.

So far 0zer0 has managed to mostly screw up the domestic agenda. So it’s no wonder he is getting cover from MSNBC to deflect attention from his domestic problems. The problem is that it won’t be long before he will screw up the foreign policy agenda too. He really is living Carter’s 2nd term.

Everyone is focused on 0zer0’s economic agenda, but I predict that will not be his Waterloo. No, there is something else coming that 0zer0 will screw up that will be his ultimate undoing. Presidencies are almost never remembered for what you expected them to be known for during the campaign or the election. No, they are almost always known for something else, often something external or international. On that point, I don’t think we have seen 0zer0’s greatest failure yet.

"The survey of two dozen nations conducted this spring..."

It's summer now, so how come it's taken so long to release this? Maybe they're afraid that if they do another poll, it won't turn out so good.

[Our enemies love him. Wonder why?]

Here’s a hint: “The Bush presidency marked a steep decline in U.S. popularity overseas, notably after the 2003 invasion of Iraq, because of a perception that the post-9/11 war on terrorism was targeted at Muslims.”

Simple. The rest of the world is happy to have the US knocked down a couple of pegs and become a loser, just like them.

Well there’s some 50 largely muslim nations in the world who were previously token or not-at-all-friendly nations to the USA. He’s got them in his burka.

Apparently they did not see the video of BHO in Russia. The heads of state completely ignored his extended hand when he was going down the greeting line. Everyone of them! It was embarrassing.

BINGO!!!!

gmta. The world want us to be as mediocre as they are because their civilizations have simply peaked. They simply wished they had achieved what we have done in 250 years.
