Screaming constituents, protesters dragged out by the cops, congressmen fearful for their safety — welcome to the new town-hall-style meeting, the once-staid forum that is rapidly turning into a house of horrors for members of Congress.
On the eve of the August recess, members are reporting meetings that have gone terribly awry, marked by angry, sign-carrying mobs and disruptive behavior. In at least one case, a congressman has stopped holding town hall events because the situation has spiraled so far out of control.
“I had felt they would be pointless,” Rep. Tim Bishop (D-N.Y.) told POLITICO, referring to his recent decision to suspend the events in his Long Island district. “There is no point in meeting with my constituents and [to] listen to them and have them listen to you if what is basically an unruly mob prevents you from having an intelligent conversation.”

So the congressjerks are feeling the heat from a public that has finally woken up to the nightmare that they caused last November.
Maybe this will convince a few of the congressjerks to quit their jobs and go into a slightly more honest profession, like selling used cars.
This would be a great opportunity for a candidate to announce for office and hold his own “town meetings” since the elected representatives refuse to. I would think it would get the ball rolling in a lot of districts.
Tell the filthy hypocritical congressjerks what you think.

Until congressional swine drastically change course the “unruly mob” will multiply until there is nowhere for guys like Bishop to hide.

Oh, I missed this. When was it? Of course that lib rag of a paper the Roanoke Times didn’t cover it. Still if no one runs against him, what does he have to lose. I still have not heard of anyone running against him next year.
These congresscritters ain’t seen nothing yet.....
I expect a lot of protests, tea parties, and demonstrators at their ‘townhalls’ this August.
May be true but someone has to fill those voice mails up so the point is still well taken.
Essentially, Boucher has survived through lots of pork and by talking out of both sides of his mouth, saying one thing to his constituents and the coal industry, while carrying Nancy Pelosi's water in DC. It's finally caught up to him with as more and more local folks are getting internet access to the real news and not liking what they are hearing from him, especially in light of his coal-killing Cap & Tax vote.
I talked to my dear old retired coal miner Democrat dad last night and he admitted to me that I've been right about Boucher all along and that Boucher has killed himself politically in SWVA because of Cap & Tax.
This was a stunning admission coming from the old man, who's been a lifelong democrat!
I’ll bet if he was taken and tarred and feathered it would not only get his attention but that of a couple hundred RATS and assorted RINO’S.

I also could not believe that I heard that NOT one green job has been created (as promised) because the 0bama administration does not know how to define what a green job is.
In other words, change is tough on people that are living easy lives. And as Michelle once said, "Barack isn't going to allow you to live the way you've been living."
These fools are making it seem as if they're Robin Hood and everyone that disagrees are evil, greedy, inhuman nazi supporters. It's sad because we're hard working people trying to live good lives. And THEY, in D.C., are trying to rob us of our liberty. I'm pissed!!!!
Representative Ed Markey Democrat from Massachusetts will NOT be holding any PUBLIC meetings.
I wanted to tell someone who cares. Another coward...no surprise...not interested in what their voters think.
Term limits are desperately needed. They don't CARE. Power and control are their only motives.
We need to make a list of all Congressmen who are hiding from their voters this August. All Representatives who are NOT holding Public meetings. Who are they? Actions speak louder then words. We need to know their names!!!!!
We need to create a wall of shame for these cowards.
Then we need to send the list to Foxnews, Levin, Rush, etc.
