(CNSNews.com) - Appearing on ABCs This Week with George Stephanopoulos yesterday, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner floated President Obamas next big move: a tax increase on middle-class Americans.
Geithner made it clear during the interview that the administration believes that new federal revenues are needed and he declined to rule out raising taxes on Americans earning less than $250,000 per year to get those revenues.
During the interview, host George Stephanopoulos pointed out to Geithner that the Congressional Budget Office estimates that your budget will add $9 trillion to the national debt over the next decade.
Stephanopoulos also noted that former Clinton Administration Deputy Treasury Secretary Roger Altman has said that a tax increase is needed.
[I]independent analysts also say ... you're going to have to find new government revenues, said Stephanopoulos. The former deputy treasury secretary, Roger Altman, said: It is no longer a matter of whether tax revenues must increase, but how. Is he right?
Geither did not disagree with Altman.

Ha! Revenues are what you get when you deliver a service or good. This band of thieves delivers neither.
I bet nobody ever expected THAT to happen....
Is there any promise left that “The One” HASN'T broken?
The next big media push will be the deficit. Something they have completely ignored since Obama was elected. No mention whatsoever of Zero's reckless spending and it's effect. Now it's time to lay the groundwork for Obama’s long planned tax increases.
I did a news search on liberal msn.com* and couldn't find a single story written this year posted on that site concerning the deficit. However during the Bush era this site shrieked incessantly about Bush's debt.
*Also did a search on homelessness and what do you know... This problem has apparently been completely eradicated by the Kenyan.
Well he said he would bring change and he did... For the worse!
Message to Geithner: Tar and feathers futures are way up.

And the Captain Renault Award goes to...Timothy Geithner!
Yep.
Little by little, step by step, 0 and his merry band of criminals are determined to own the souls of all US citizens.

It took America over 230 years to reach its first 9 Trillion Dollars of debt.
Obama will duplicate that in 4 years.
Is that the change you voted for?
American Psycho Tax-Cheat-in-Chief
It is precisely the change the zerOids voted for.
Not even bankruptcy of the nation is going to change their minds about free everything at the expense of others, as long as there _are_ others. They are like the child who, being told there is no money in the family, says:”But can’t you just write a check?”
We have a majority (or near to it) working for the government and are approaching a plurality of those receiving transfer payments. I cannot imagine the reaction when the various sorts of checks stop appearing. The administration and congress and many governors can’t imagine it either. Therefore: taxes will rise.
